Note
- You can find information on how to properly position the smoke alarm in the installation instructions for the smoke alarm. Note that you can neither remove nor reposition the base plate after installation.
- The texture of the mounting surface is crucial for adhesion. Ensure that the surface is stable, dry, and free of dust and grease. Avoid installation on vinyl wallpaper, Styrofoam, non-stick coatings, silicone coatings, Teflon coatings, etc.
- This magnetic installation set is designed solely for the weight of a standard smoke alarm, heat detector, or CO detector.
Installation
- Remove the film from the base plate (without the magnets). (1)
- Place the base plate on the previously selected mounting surface for the smoke alarm (2).
- Press the base plate to the ceiling for approx. 10 seconds (3).
- Remove the film from the magnet plate (with two magnets) (4).
- Stick the mounting plate to the center of the back of the smoke alarm (min. diameter: 8 cm) and press it down for approx. 10 seconds (5) .
- Use the magnet plate to attach the smoke alarm to the base plate (6).
Note
When removing the smoke alarm, for example, to change the batteries, make sure that you remove it from the side. Avoid pulling it down vertically. Over a long period of time, this could affect the mounting plate’s adhesion.
