Product Usage Instructions:

Disconnect any power supplies to the enclosure before
installing the window kit to avoid electric shock and equipment
damage.
Ensure all internal and external electrical and mechanical
clearances are checked to assure that all assembled equipment
functions safely and properly before energizing any circuits.
For painted enclosures and window frames, follow the
requirements below:
- Remove the explosive atmosphere prior to contact or
  cleaning.
- Make sure the enclosure and window frame are grounded and the
  external enclosure ground connection is made, with all conducting
  parts properly bonded.
- Clean painted surfaces only with a wet cloth moistened with
  deionized water, avoiding friction with the surface.
- Avoid contact in low relative humidity environments and
  increase environment humidity where possible.
For window installation:
- Ensure the enclosure thickness is between 0.053 inches (1.3 mm)
  and 0.125 inches (3.2 mm).
- Make a rectangular cutout of the appropriate size for the
  window.
- Remove the plastic from both sides of the window.
- Place the window in the frame within the stud perimeter.
- Place the frame and window against the enclosure with the studs
  protruding through the opening.
- Attach the retainer plate, flanges down, with nuts to the
  inside of the enclosure. Align the window and tighten all nuts to
  15-20 in-lbs (1.7-2.3 Nm) of torque.

Painted Enclosure and Window Frame Requirements:
For fixed installations minimize the risk of electrostatic discharge of painted enclosures and window frames.
1. Remove the explosive atmosphere prior to contact or cleaning. 2. Make certain enclosure and window frame are grounded and external enclosure
ground connection is made; all conducting parts should be properly bonded. 3. For painted surfaces, avoid friction with surface; only clean with wet cloth
moistened with deionized water. 4. Avoid contact in low relative humidity environments. Increase environment
humidity where possible.

1. Window kit is compatible with enclosure thicknesses between .053 in. (1.3 mm) and .125 in. (3.2 mm).
