INTENDED USER PROFILE

Theintended user should be a licensed medical professional, the patient, the patient’s caretaker, or a family member providing assistance.

The user should be able to read, understand and be physically capable to perform all the directions, warnings and cautions provided in the information for use.

INTENDED USE/INDICATIONS

Provides support to prevent further injury by stabilizing the ankle. It may be suitable for use following postoperative or acute injuries; ankle sprains grade I, II, III; chronic instabilities. Soft-good/semi-rigid designed to restrict motion through elastic or semi-rigid construction.

If pain, swelling, changes in sensation or other unusual reactions occur while using this product, you should contact your doctor immediately.

Do not use over open wounds.

Do not use this device if it was damaged and/or package has been opened.

APPLICATION INFORMATION

  1. If necessary, lift bottom section of aircells until the heel straps are fully exposed. Peel up heel straps and adjust heelpad width. Firmly press heel straps then aircells back in place. (Fig. 1)

  2. Put on an absorbent sock. Position heel on heelpad with round edge of heelpad facing heel. Align brace sides with ankle. Secure strap. Put on lace shoe or sneaker. (Fig. 2)

  3. Squeeze brace sides together with one hand while tightening strap with the other hand. Tighten to a comfortable compression. (Fig. 3)

  4. To remove, disconnect strap from inner brace side, leaving strap attached on outer brace side. This will preserve the correct fit. To reapply brace, position heel on the heelpad and secure strap onto inner brace side. The Pediatric Ankle Brace aircells are preinflated and do not require adjustment.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

The entire Pediatric Ankle Brace can be hand washed in luke warm water with mild soap and air dried.

DJO, LLC will repair or replace all or part of the unit and its accessories for material or workmanship defects for a period of six months from the date of sale.
