System Description
The SwipeSense System combines point-of-care hand hygiene with
real-time usage data to eliminate dependency on manual observations
and increase compliance with infection control procedures. The
system includes:
- Badges worn on individual employees
- Asset tags attached to assets that should be tracked
- Hygiene sensors mounted to hygiene dispensers to track employee
hand sanitation frequency - Entry sensors installed in door thresholds to provide real-time
feedback - Location hubs to monitor employee presence in patient rooms and
asset locations - Communication hub located on each unit that collects the data
generated within the network and transmits it to the cloud
Once the data is uploaded to the cloud, it is accessible to all
administrators.
Product Description
This is a wall-mounted device that is placed at a nurse’s
station. The Communication Hub receives information from Location
Hubs, Hygiene Sensors, Entry Sensors, and Badges. It also transmits
software updates to these devices as necessary. Please refer to
Figure 1 for a picture of an installed Communication Hub.

System Description

Our fully integrated system seamlessly provides real-time hand hygiene data from across the enterprise with exceptional clarity. The SwipeSense System creates a “mesh network” that provides flexibility for compiling and communicating hygiene practices of employees within your facility. The mesh network is comprised of:

Product Description
This is a wall-mounted device that is placed at a nurse’s station. This device receives information from the Location Hubs, Hygiene Sensors, Entry Sensors, and Badges. It also transmits software updates to the Location Hubs, Hygiene Sensors, Entry Sensors, and Badges as necessary. A picture of an installed Communication Hub is provided in Figure 1.

Installation Procedure
1. Select a location near a power outlet and Ethernet connection. 2. If the Communication Hub is not pre-assigned, record the serial number and add the device to
the Unit Device Map, ensuring placement on the map reflects the chosen location. 3. Wipe down the wall and let dry to remove oil and debris. 4. Apply mounting adhesive to the back of the Communication Hub. 5. Position the Communication Hub on the wall. 6. Connect the Ethernet cable to the Communication Hub. 7. Connect the power cable to the Communication Hub. A slowly blinking blue light indicates the
device is fully operational.
