Yoshimura TEC-SD15 Spark Arrestor Kit

The Yoshimura TEC-SD15 Spark Arrestor Kit is a safety accessory designed for use with Yoshimura exhaust systems. The kit includes a spark arrestor, spark arrestor ring, button head screw, lock nut, and USFS-certified spark arrestor label. The spark arrestor is designed to reduce the risk of fire by trapping hot particles in the exhaust system.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Remove the button head screw securing the aluminum ring and spark arrester to the muffler and remove the spark arrester.
2. Using a wire brush, remove carbon deposits from the spark arrester screen. Inspect the screen for excessive wear or damage. If a spark arrester is excessively worn or damaged, the spark arrester must be replaced. Cleaning and inspection should be performed after every 60 hours of use. Caution: Gloves and safety glasses should be worn while cleaning the spark arrester.
3. Re-install the spark arrester and aluminum ring.
   • Note: It is recommended that a low-strength Loctite is used on the spark arrester securing bolt.
4. Apply the USFS-certified spark arrester label on the muffler where visible.

It is important to regularly clean and inspect the spark arrestor to ensure it is functioning properly and reducing the risk of fire.
