Taking a mouthpiece breath test

Make sure the power cord is connected and the GastroCH ECK® is switched on Connect the sample line to the direct sample line connector; a click should be audible Attach the mouthpiece to the sample line.

• Press will be shown onscreen while the sensor is zeroing
• When prompted by inhale and hold breath for the pre-set 15 seconds.
• A beep will sound during the last 3 seconds of the countdown
• Blow slowly into the mouthpiece, aiming to keep the arrow in the green section
• The arrow Will change colour as the 0, level in the breath sample reduces to the target 15%, at which point it will turn green and the test will automatically stop after 3 seconds
• If you cannot complete the test, press.
• The final results will be shown onscreen.
• Press for a visual indicator of the results: good = satisfactory= poor, retake the test.
• Press to return to the results.
• To take another test, press and then repeat steps 4-13.
• Remove the mouthpiece and sample line in between tests to purge the sensors with fresh air.

Collect a breath bag sample

• Remove the blue plugs from the breath bag.
• Place two clamps on the inlet and outlet but leave them open
• Attach a mouthpiece to the inlet.
• Exhale gently into the bag until your lungs are nearly empty.
• When your lungs are nearly empty, close the clamp at the outlet.
• Fill the bag and then close the clamp at the inlet.
• Replace the blue plugs.
• To take multiple breath bag samples, repeat steps 1-7 with new breath bags.

Analyze breath bag sample

• Make sure the power cord is connected and the Gastro CHECK is switched on.
• Attach the moisture filter to the bag sample connector
• Press
• Remove the blue plug from one end of the breath bag and attach to the moisture filter.  Open the clamp on the inlet of the breath bag.
• Press to begin breath hag sampling.
• will be shown onscreen while the sensor is zeroing.
• Once zeroed, the GastroCH.ECK will automatically begin bag sampling for 45 seconds as indicated by making sure that the clamp is open.

The final results will be shown onscreen

Press for a visual indicator of the results

• good = satisfactory= poor, retake the test.
• Press to return to the results.
• To take another test, press and then repeat steps 3-10.
