- Unplug machine
- Empty dirt container by sliding the Lock ‘n Seal Lever to the unlock position
- Pull dirt container straight out of machine
- Take out inner cyclone from upper tank by twisting to the left and pulling down
- The cyclone may be washed with a mild detergent
- Allow to air dry completely (24-48 hours) before replacing in machine
- Remove foam pre-motor filter located in slide out tray located below dirt container
- Clean with water and mild detergent
- Allow to air dry completely (24-48 hours) before replacing in machine
- Take out the white pleated post-motor filter located beneath foam filter
- Post-motor filter is NOT washable and must be replaced when dirty
- Recline handle and turn machine over so bottom is facing up
- Remove the five screws on the brush cover and lift off
- Grasp brush at both ends and lift out of machine
- Inspect brush and belt for damage
- Brush should spin easily by hand
- Belt should be intact
- If parts are damaged, replacement
- Clean debris from brush, brush ends, and belt areas
- Reassemble brush area and test machine again
