- Unplug machine
- Remove dirt tank by sliding the Lock ‘n Seal lever to the unlock position and pulling straight out
- Empty dirt tank
- Remove cyclone from upper tank by twisting to unlock and pull down
- Cyclone and screen can be separated for cleaning by pulling apart
- Both the cyclone and screen can be cleaned with water and mild detergent
- Allow to air dry completely before reinstalling in machine
- On select models, twist the Dirt Tank Filter Frame to the left to remove the frame and Upper Tank Filter
- Wash the filter with water and a mild detergent
- Let it completely air dry before placing back in the machine
- Pull out the filter tray located below the dirt tank and wash the pre-motor filter with water and a mild detergent
- Allow to air dry completely before placing back in the machine
- Open the filter door on the back of machine and remove the post-motor filter
- Tap this filter against a waste bin to remove excess debris
- With the machine unplugged, turn the machine over so brush is facing up
- Remove the 6 screws that hold on the Brush Access Plate
- Check the brush and belt for damage
- The brush should easily spin by hand
- The belt should be intact
- If part is damaged, it will need to be replaced
