Determine motor mounting location on the ceiling
Choose a location in your garage where you would like to install your Hoist an unobstructed operating space of at least 3 feet by 4 feet is required. The motor mounting plate (A) should be installed at least 3 feet away from walls or any other obstructions and close to a power supply (preferably a ceiling outlet).
The motorized hoist is designed to be installed either perpendicular or parallel to the ceiling joists and can be installed on joists with 16 in. or 24 in. spacing.
In the chosen installation area determine the direction of the ceiling joists and the exact location of the ceiling joists by visually checking or using a joist finder or a very fine drill bit.
Four installation options are illustrated below. Note how the motor mounting plate (A) and motor hoist (B) are positioned for your installation in particular the location of the 4 fixed threaded bolts on the motor mounting plate and the 4 ½ in. spacer channel bar attachment tab on the motor hoist. Determine how the motor mounting plate should be rotated where the fixed, threaded bolts should be located prior to fastening to the joists. Identify your installation option.

Installation
1 Prepare ceiling
Position the paper motor mounting template in the installation location and mark with a pencil the six spots where the
lags bolts will be fastened.
MARK THESE SIX HOLES FOR 24 IN. JOIST CENTERS
MARK THESE SIX HOLES FOR 16 IN. JOIST CENTERS
It is very important that the wood screws are fastened to the center of the joists. Use the hole saw drill bit (R) or cut away the drywall with a utility knife to obtain an unobstructed view of the width of the joists so the exact center can easily be determined (covered ceilings only). It may be necessary to again use the motor mounting template and a pencil to mark where the wood screws are to be fastened.

FAILURE TO PROPERLY INSTALL YOUR MOUNTING PLATE TO THE CENTER OF YOUR JOISTS WILL CAUSE YOUR SPACER BAR TO BE OFFSET FROM CENTER OF JOISTS AND MAY CAUSE YOUR HOIST TO FALL FROM CEILING.

2 Install the motor mounting plate to the ceiling
Using a power drill with a 1/8 in. drill bit attached, drill six pilot holes into the center of the joists. Using the ratchet and 3/8 in. socket (T) fasten 6 of the 4 in. lag bolts (K) into the joists until the motor mounting plate is securely
fastened.

be fastened to wooden joists in the building

3 Attach the motor hoist to the motor mounting plate
Install the motor over the top of the 4 fixed, threaded bolts on the motor mounting plate (A) and tighten nuts. (It is easier if you install the nuts loosely on the treads and slide motor on top.)
Once the motor hoist is properly positioned on the motor mounting plate, tighten the nut with the ratchet or the adjustable wrench until the motor hoist is securely attached to the motor mounting plate.
WARNING: Slide the motor hoist until the tabs are firmly against the threaded bolts. Do not leave any space between the bolts and the enclosed end of the mounting tabs.

4 Connect and install the spacer channel pulley bar
Press the spacer channel pulley bar flush with the ceiling and mark ceiling with a pencil where a lag bolt will be used to attach the bar to the joist. Perpendicular joist installation (option A or B on page 6). Make a mark at either the 16 in. hole or 24 in. hole depending on your joist spacing. Remove the spacer channel bar. Parallel joist installation (option C or D on page 6). Make a mark at the 21 in. hole. Remove the spacer channel bar.
It is very important that the lag bolt is fastened to the center of the joist. Use the hole saw drill bit (R) or cut away the drywall with a utility knife to obtain an unobstructed view of the width of the joist so the exact center can easily be determined. It may be necessary to reposition the spacer channel bar and mark with a pencil where the lag bolt is to be fastened.
Using a power drill with a 1/8 in. drill bit (U) attached drill a pilot hole into the center of the joist.
Insert the flared end (the end without a fixed nut) of a spacer channel bar onto the fixed bolt coming down from the motor plate tab above the strap spools on the motor hoist.
Attach the 6 mm nut (Q) to the fixed bolt and tighten with a ratchet or adjustable wrench until the spacer channel bar is securely fastened to the motor hoist.
Place a lag bolt(s) (K) and using the ratchet fasten the bolt(s) into the joist(s) until the spacer channel bar is securely fastened.

5 Install straps
Place the straps coming out of the rectangular opening closest to the spacer channel bar (fig. D) over the top of the pulley at the end of the spacer channel pulley bar. (fig. E)
Once the strap has been placed over the pulley reinstall the pulley to its original position, insert the pin and refasten the cotter pin. (fig. F)
Place strap from motor side (fig. C) through stopper plate and attach height adjustment bracket using the supplied cotter pin (fig. B).
Repeat step for pulley side without the stopper plate (fig. A). Plug in the motor hoist (B) to the nearest 110 volt power outlet. Use the hand control switch and safely lower the straps until approximately 9 feet of
cable is hanging down.

6 Install the hand control switch holder
Secure the hand control switch to a convenient location on the closest appropriate wall using the power cord cable clamps (E) and screws (V and W).
If your cables are too long, use the supplied cable ties to coil them close to the motor for a clean finish.
To prevent unauthorized use, the Garage Gator hoist is equipped with a key lock feature. When the key is turned to the “OFF” position or removed from the hand control switch the unit will not function until the key is reinserted and turned to the “ON” position.
TIP: WE SUGGEST YOU INSTALL YOUR CONTROLLER HOLDER FIRST AND RUN YOUR WIRE BACK TO THE MOTOR. THIS WAY YOUR EXCESS CABLE WILL BE UP AT THE MOTOR. USE THE SUPPLIED CLIPS TO ATTACH TO THE WALL.

7 Assemble the hook bar
If you are using the lift for golf bags use the long J hooks (I). If you are using it for bicycles use the short J hooks (H). Slide hooks onto the middle bar before attaching your end bars.
Attach each hook bar end to the assembled middle section by lining up the slotted holes from the hook bar end to the holes of the hook bar connectors. Attach shoe organizer (J) to middle bar.
Attach the height adjustment bracket (D) by sliding the hook into the two large holes on the left and right side of the bar facing inward.

8 Level
The height adjustment bracket (D) is adjustable to make your straps and bars perfectly level. Lower your straps to eye level and adjust the pin in the height adjustment bracket (D) to the desired hole to make your straps level.
NOT LEVEL
If your bar is not level, use the strap adjustment bracket that is located by the hook.
TO ADJUST, REMOVE THE COTTER PIN ON THE HIGHEST SIDE AND REINSTALL AT THE HIGHER HOLE.
If your bar is still not level, remove the first lower pin that you have already installed and reinstall it without the strap at the lowest level closest to the hook.
Wrap the strap around the pin you installed and insert the second pin at the desired hole through the hoop in the strap. Adjust the second pin accordingly until your bar is level.

9 Using the key lock feature
To prevent unauthorized use the Garage Gator 68223 is equipped with a key lock feature. When the key is turned to the “OFF” position or removed from the hand control switch the unit will not function until the key is
reinserted and turned to the “ON” position.
10 Test the unit
Press and hold the rocker switch on the hand control to raise and lower the hook bar. When the hook bar reaches the uppermost travel point, the stopper plate above the cable hook will trigger the limit switch ceasing upward movement.

Operating instructions
TO RAISE OR LOWER THE HOOK BAR:
Do not stand under the hoist Turn the key in the hand control switch to the “ON” position. Press and hold the rocker switch in the direction you want the
hook bar to travel. Release the switch when the desired location is reached. Operator must let the motor stop for 8 minutes after
continuously working raising or lowering the hoist.
TO LOAD THE HOOK BAR:
Lower the hook bar to a comfortable height. Evenly distribute the weight of articles stored. Do not overload the hook bar — maximum capacity is
220 pounds. Be sure items are secured before raising the hook bar. **Make sure load is secure before lifting.
EXAMPLES OF ITEMS THAT CAN BE STORED:
Bikes
Hang bicycles by using bike hook. Hook red part around neck of seat on bicycle as seat is resting on top of bike bar.
Golf Bags
Golf bags should be hung by the carrying handle — NOT the shoulder strap.
Canoe/Kayak
Capacity on hook bar must not exceed 220 lb Canoe/kayak straps sold separately

Maintenance
Check to be sure the motor is properly attached to its mounting plate. Make sure the bolts are tight.
Periodically check the condition of the electrical cords, plugs and controls.

Inspectez soigneusement votre nouvel élévateur motorisé pour tout dommage et / ou manque de pièces. Séparez toutes les principales composantes et pièces comme indiqué ci-dessous. Ne tentez pas l’installation si des pièces sont endommagées ou manquantes. Si des parties de votre élévateur sont manquantes ou semblent endommagées, appelez le service à la clientèle de Proslat au 1-888-691-2944, du lundi au vendredi, de 8 h à 17 h, heure de l’Est. Avant d’appeler, vérifiez soigneusement le carton, car des pièces peuvent se retrouver dans le matériau d’emballage.

C’est le meilleur moyen de suivre et de comprendre le processus d’installation.
Déterminez l’emplacement du moteur au plafond
Choisissez l’emplacement dans votre garage où vous souhaitez installer votre élévateur motorisé un espace libre d’au moins 3 pieds (0,91 m) par 4 pieds (1,22 m) est requis. La plaque de montage du moteur (A) doit être installée à au moins 3 pieds des murs ou de tout autre obstacle et à proximité d’une source d’alimentation (de préférence d’une prise au plafond).
L’élévateur 68221 est conçu pour être installé soit de façon perpendiculaire ou parallèle aux solives de plafond. Il peut être installé sur des solives espacées de 16 ou de 24 pouces.
Dans la zone d’installation choisie, déterminez la direction des solives de plafond et l’emplacement exact de celles-ci en le vérifiant visuellement ou en utilisant un détecteur de solives ou un foret très fpo
Quatre options d’installation sont illustrées ci-dessous. Notez comment la plaque de montage du moteur (A) et l’élévateur motorisé (B) sont positionnés pour votre installation en particulier l’emplacement des 4 boulons filetés fixes sur la plaque de montage du moteur et la languette de fixation de la barre d’espacement de 4 ½ po sur l’élévateur. Déterminez la façon dont la plaque de montage du moteur doit être tournée l’endroit où les quatre boulons filetés doivent être situés avant la fixation aux solives. Identifiez votre option d’installation.

Installation
1 Préparez le plafond
Positionnez le gabarit de montage du moteur en papier (N) dans la zone d’installation et marquez avec un crayon les six emplacements où vis à bois seront fixées. MARQUEZ CES SIX TROUS POUR DES SOLIVES ESPACÉES AUX 24 POUCES
MARQUEZ CES SIX TROUS POUR DES SOLIVES ESPACÉES AUX 16 POUCES Il est très important que les vis à bois soient fixées au centre des solives. Utilisez le foret (R) ou coupez la cloison sèche
avec un couteau utilitaire pour obtenir une vue dégagée de la largeur des solives afin de déterminer facilement le centre exact (plafonds couverts seulement). Il peut être nécessaire d’utiliser à nouveau le gabarit de montage du moteur et un crayon pour marquer le point de fixation des vis à bois.

SI VOUS N’INSTALLEZ PAS CORRECTEMENT VOTRE PLAQUE DE MONTAGE AU CENTRE DE VOS SOLIVES, LA BARRE DE LA POULIE SERA DÉCALÉE PAR RAPPORT AU CENTRE DES SOLIVES.

2 Installez la plaque de montage du moteur au plafond
À l’aide d’une perceuse équipée d’un foret de 1/8 po, percez six trous pilotes dans le centre des solives. À l’aide du cliquet et de la douille de 3/8 po (T), fixez 6 des tire-fonds de 4 po (K) dans les solives jusqu’à ce que la plaque de montage
du moteur soit correctement fixée.
AVERTISSEMENT: La plaque de montage du moteur doit être fixée aux solives en bois dans l’ossature du bâtiment. Ne fixez pas aux cloisons sèches, aux panneaux de particules, au plâtre ou à d’autres matériaux similaires. Ne pas suivre cette consigne peut entraîner des blessures ou la mort.

3 Fixer le palan du moteur à la plaque de montage du moteur
Installez le moteur sur le dessus des 4 boulons filetés fixes de la plaque de montage du moteur (A) et serrez les écrous. (C’est plus facile si vous installez les écrous sans les serrer sur les marches et que vous faites glisser le moteur par-dessus).
Une fois que le palan du moteur est correctement positionné sur la plaque de montage du moteur, serrez l’écrou avec le cliquet ou la clé réglable jusqu’à ce que le palan du moteur soit bien fixé à la plaque de montage du moteur.
AVERTISSEMENT: Faites glisser l’élévateur motorisé jusqu’à ce que les languettes soient fermement insérées contre les boulons filetés. Ne laissez aucun espace entre les boulons et l’extrémité des languettes de montage.

4 Connectez et installez la barre de la poulie
Appuyez la barre de la poulie au ras du plafond et marquez à l’aide d’un crayon l’endroit où un tire-fond sera utilisé pour fixer la barre à la solive. Pour un installation perpendiculaire aux solives (option A ou B à la page 6). Faites une marque au trou de 16 po ou au trou de 24 po en fonction de l’espacement des solives. Retirez la barre d’espacement. Pour une installation parallèle aux solives (option C ou D à la page 6). Faites une marque au trou de 21 po. Retirez la barre.
Il est très important que le tire-fond soit fixé au centre de la solive. Utilisez le foret (R) ou coupez la cloison sèche avec un couteau utilitaire pour obtenir une vue dégagée de la largeur de la solive afin de déterminer facilement le centre exact. Il peut être nécessaire de repositionner la barre d’espacement et de marquer avec un crayon l’endroit où le tire-fond doit être fixé.
À l’aide d’une perceuse équipée d’un foret de 1/8 po (U), percez un trou pilote au centre de la solive. Insérez l’extrémité évasée (l’extrémité sans écrou fixe) de la barre de la poulie sur le boulon fixe qui descend de la languette de la
plaque du moteur, au-dessus de la bobine de la courroie du palan.
Fixez l’écrou de 6 mm (Q) sur le boulon fixe et serrez-le à l’aide d’une clé à cliquet ou d’une clé à molette jusqu’à ce que la barre d’espacement soit bien fixée au palan du moteur.
Placez un ou plusieurs tire-fonds (K) et fixez-les à l’aide de la clé à cliquet dans la ou les solives jusqu’à ce que la barre soit bien fixée.

5 Installez les courroies
Placez les sangles sortant de l’ouverture rectangulaire la plus proche de la barre d’espacement (fig. D) sur le dessus de la poulie, à l’extrémité de la barre de poulie. (fig. E)
Une fois que la sangle est placée sur la poulie, réinstallez la poulie dans sa position d’origine, insérez la goupille et resserrez-la. (fig. F)
Placez la sangle du côté moteur (fig. C) à travers la plaque d’arrêt et fixez le support de réglage de la hauteur à l’aide de la goupille fournie (fig. B).
Répétez cette étape pour le côté poulie sans la plaque d’arrêt (fig. A).
Branchez le palan du moteur (B) à la prise de courant 110 volts la plus proche.
Utilisez la télécommande et abaissez les sangles en toute sécurité jusqu’à ce qu’environ 9 pieds de câble soit relaché.

6 Installez le support du contrôleur
Fixez le suuport du contrôleur à un endroit pratique sur le mur approprié le plus proche en utilisant les colliers de serrage du câble d’alimentation (E) et les vis (V et W).
Si vos câbles sont trop longs, utilisez les serre-câbles fournis pour les enrouler près du moteur pour une finition propre.
Pour éviter toute utilisation non autorisée, Le palan Garage Gator est équipé d’un dispositif de verrouillage à clé. Lorsque la clé est tournée en position “OFF” ou retirée de la commande manuelle, l’appareil ne fonctionne pas tant que la clé n’est pas réinstallée et tournée en position “ON”.

7 Assemblez la barre de support
Si vous utilisez l’élévateur pour les sacs de golf, utilisez les longs crochets en J (I). Si vous l’utilisez pour soulever des vélos, utilisez les crochets en J plus courts (H). Faites glisser les crochets sur la barre centrale avant de fixer vos barres d’extrémité.
Fixez chaque extrémité de la barre à crochets à la section centrale assemblée en alignant les trous oblongs de l’extrémité de la barre à crochets sur les trous des connecteurs de la barre à crochets. Fixez l’organiseur de chaussures (J) à la barre centrale.
Fixez le support de réglage de la hauteur (D) en glissant le crochet dans les deux grands trous situés sur les côtés gauche et droit de la barre, tournés vers l’intérieur.

8 Nivelez
Le support de réglage de la hauteur (D) est conçu pour que vos supports et vos barres soient parfaitement de niveau. Installez la goupille du support dans le trou souhaité pour mettre vos sangles à niveau.
NON NIVELÉ
Si votre barre n’est pas de niveau, utilisez le support de réglage de la sangle situé près du crochet.
POUR AJUSTER, RETIREZ LA GOUPILLE FENDUE DU CÔTÉ LE PLUS ÉLEVÉ ET RÉINSTALLEZ-LA AU NIVEAU DU TROU LE PLUS HAUT.
Si votre barre n’est toujours pas de niveau, retirez la première goupille inférieure déjà installée et réinstallez-la sans la sangle, au niveau le plus bas, situé le plus près du crochet.
Enroulez la sangle autour de la goupille installée et insérez la deuxième goupille dans le trou souhaité, à travers le cerceau formée par la sangle. Ajustez la deuxième goupille en conséquence jusqu’à ce que votre barre soit de niveau.

9 Utilisation de la fonction de verrouillage
Pour éviter toute utilisation non autorisée, l’élévateur Garage Gator 68223 est équipé d’une fonction de verrouillage. Lorsque la clé est tournée à la position “OFF” ou retirée de l’interrupteur de la télécommande, l’appareil ne fonctionnera pas tant que
la clé ne sera pas réinsérée et tournée à la position “ON”.
10 Testez l’unité
Appuyez sur l’interrupteur du contrôleur et maintenez-le enfoncé pour lever et abaisser la barre de crochet. Lorsque la barre de crochet atteint le point de déplacement le plus haut, la plaque d’arrêt située au-dessus du crochet déclenchera l’interrupteur de fin de course afin d’arrêter l’élévation.

Directives d’utilisation
POUR ÉLEVER OU ABAISSER LA BARRE DE CROCHET :
Ne pas rester sous l’ascenseur Tournez la clé dans l’interrupteur de commande manuelle
à la position “ON”. Appuyez sur l’interrupteur à bascule et maintenez-le dans la
direction dans laquelle vous voulez que la barre à crochet se déplace. Relâchez l’interrupteur lorsque l’emplacement désiré est atteint. L’opérateur doit laisser le moteur s’arrêter pendant 8 minutes après un travail continu de 2 minutes.
POUR CHARGER LA BARRE DE CROCHET : Abaissez la barre à crochet à une hauteur confortable. Répartissez également le poids des articles stockés. Ne surchargez pas la barre à crochet — la capacité maximale
est 220 livres. Assurez-vous que les articles sont sécurisés avant de relever
la barre à crochets. ** Assurez-vous que le chargement est sécurisé avant de le
soulever.
EXEMPLE D’ITEM POUVANT ÊTRE STOCKÉS
VÉLOS Accrochez le vélo en utilisant un crochet à vélo. Accrochez la
partie rouge autour du cou du siège sur le vélo pour que le siège repose sur le dessus de la barre de vélo.
SACS DE GOLF Les sacs de golf doivent être accrochés par la poignée de
transport ET NON par la bandoulière.
CANOE/KAYAK La capacité du crochet ne doit pas dépasser 220 lb.
