AT-9524RP 2.5 Inch Turbo Pipe

Product Information:

The MBRP SXS Exhaust is a performance upgrade for your vehicle.
It is designed to improve performance and driving excitement. The
exhaust system is made up of a turbo pipe, muffler, and heat
shields. The kit includes all necessary hardware for
installation.

Product Usage Instructions:

  1. Retain all factory hardware for final installation.
  2. Remove the rear panel covering the muffler. Refer to
    Figure 1.
  3. Remove the three (3) nuts securing the muffler inlet to the
    exhaust/turbo pipe. Retain the gasket at this connection for
    reuse.
  4. Remove the upper and lower springs securing the muffler to the
    vehicle.
  5. Remove the muffler by sliding the hangers out of the rubber
    isolators.
  6. Remove the sensor from the turbo pipe (it will be reused).
  7. Remove the heat shields from the front of the turbo pipe and
    the turbocharger. It is necessary to first remove the panel(s) and
    shields behind the front seats and above the turbocharger to
    improve access to the turbocharger. Refer to Figures 2
    & 3
    . Note the location of each shield for
    reinstallation.
  8. Remove the four (4) bolts securing the turbo pipe to the
    turbocharger and remove the turbo pipe. Retain the gasket on the
    turbocharger for reuse. Refer to Figure 4.
  9. Install the Turbo Pipe onto the turbocharger, reusing the stock
    bolts (4) and gasket.
  10. Reinstall all heat shields.
  11. Reinstall the muffler by inserting the hangers into the rubber
    isolators and replacing the upper and lower springs.
  12. Align the Turbo Pipe flange with the muffler inlet, then insert
    the gasket and install the three (3) Hex Bolts and Washers to the
    stock flange nuts.
  13. Reinstall the sensor into the Turbo Pipe bung. For older model
    years, first install the Bung Adaptor.
  14. Reinstall the rear panel.

Removal of Stock Exhaust:

2. Remove the three (3) nuts securing the muffler inlet to the exhaust/turbo pipe. Retain the gasket at this connection for reuse. 3. Remove the upper and lower springs securing the muffler to the vehicle.
4. Remove the muffler by sliding the hangers out of the rubber isolators. 5. Remove the sensor from the turbo pipe (it will be reused).
6. Remove the heat shields from the front of the turbo pipe and the turbocharger. It is necessary to first remove the panel(s) and shields behind the front seats and above the turbocharger to improve access to the turbocharger. Refer to Figures 2 & 3. Note the location of each shield for reinstallation.
7. Remove the four (4) bolts securing the turbo pipe to the turbocharger and remove the turbo pipe. Retain the gasket on the turbocharger for reuse. Refer to Figure 4.
Installation of MBRP Exhaust:
1. Install the Turbo Pipe onto the turbocharger, reusing the stock bolts (4) and gasket.
2. Reinstall all heat shields.
3. Reinstall the muffler by inserting the hangers into the rubber isolators and replacing the upper and lower springs.
4. Align the Turbo Pipe flange with the muffler inlet, then insert the gasket and install the three (3) Hex Bolts and Washers to the stock flange nuts.
5. Reinstall the sensor into the Turbo Pipe bung. For older model years, first install the Bung Adaptor.
6. Reinstall the rear panel.
