Front View Click to enlarge.		After the cable modem successfully registers on the network, the POWER, RECEIVE, SEND, and ONLINE indicators illuminate continuously to indicate that the cable modem is online and fully operational.

Back View Click to enlarge.		The ARRIS SB6190 has the following ports available on the back of the modem. RESET – Reboots the cable modem or reset the cable modem settings. Press the indented Reset button once using the end of a paper clip or other small object with a narrow tip, and then release. To reset back to the factory default settings, press and hold the indented Reset button for 15 seconds using the end of a paper clip or other small object with a narrow tip, and then release. ETHERNET – Connects to the Ethernet port on your computer CABLE – Connects to the cable wall outlet POWER – Connects the cable modem to the power adapter

MAC Address Click to enlarge.		MAC addresses are written as 12 digits containing both letters and numbers (0-9, A-F). A MAC address is unique. The first six characters of the MAC address are unique to the manufacturer of the device.

The lights indicate the current status of your modem. To troubleshoot any connection problems, use the table below.

Modem Light	Status	Problem
POWER	Off	No power. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem.
POWER	Solid Green	None.
RECEIVE	Flashing	Scanning for downstream channel. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem.
	Solid Green	None. Connection from the computer to the Internet established on one channel.
	Solid Blue	None. Operating on more than one channel (downstream bond mode).
SEND	Off	Upstream channel inactive. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem.
	Flashing	Scanning for upstream channel. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem.
	Solid Green	None. Connection from the Internet to the computer established on one channel.
	Solid Blue	None. Operating on more than one channel (upstream bond mode).
ONLINE	Off	No connection. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem.
	Flashing	None. Scanning for configuration parameters.
	Solid Green	None. Operational.
