To ensure safe usage of the Panasonic Hair Dryer, please observe
the following precautions:

Do not use the appliance when the cord is tied, as it may cause

Avoid damaging or modifying the plug or cord. Do not forcefully
bend, pull, or twist them, and avoid placing anything heavy on or
pinching them. These actions may result in burning, electric shock,
or fire due to a short circuit.
If the cord or plug is damaged or getting hot, do not use the
hair dryer to prevent burning, electric shock, or fire.
Do not use the hair dryer if the plug fits loosely in a
household outlet, as it may cause burning, electric shock, or fire
due to a short circuit.
When connecting or disconnecting the plug to or from a
household outlet, ensure your hands are dry to avoid electric shock
or injury.
When storing the hair dryer, do not wrap the cord around the
main body and handle, as it may cause breakage of the cord or
result in burning, electric shock, or fire due to a short
circuit.
Avoid storing or using the cord in a twisted state, as it may
lead to breakage of the wire in the cord and result in electric
shock or fire due to a short circuit.
Always unplug the hair dryer by holding the plug instead of the
cord to prevent breakage of the cord or burning, electric shock, or
fire due to a short circuit.
Regularly clean the plug to prevent dust accumulation, which
may cause insulation failure and fire. Disconnect the plug and wipe
it with a dry cloth.

Product Usage Instructions

To use the Panasonic Hair Dryer (Model No. EH-NA9K), please
follow these instructions:

Ensure that the hair dryer is unplugged before use.
Choose the desired heat and speed settings using the control
buttons on the hair dryer.
For optimal results, ensure that your hair is clean and
slightly damp before using the hair dryer.
Hold the hair dryer approximately 6-8 inches away from your
head.
Start drying your hair from the roots to the ends, moving the
hair dryer in a continuous motion.
For styling purposes, you can use a brush or comb while drying
your hair to achieve the desired look.
Continue drying until your hair is completely dry.
After use, allow the hair dryer to cool down before storing it
in a safe and dry place.

In case of an abnormality or malfunction

Maintenance When the appliance emits hot air, if sparks are seen at the air outlet, immediately stop using it, and then clear away dust adhered to the air outlet and air inlet. – Failure to do so may cause burning or fire.

burning to your hair.
Keep a distance of over 10 cm between the air inlet and your hair. – Failure to do so may cause
your hair to be drawn into the unit and thus result in hair damage.

Notes This unit is equipped with an automatic over-heating protective device. If the unit overheats, it will switch to the cool air mode. In such a case, switch off the unit and unplug it from the household outlet. Leave it to cool down for a few minutes before using it again. Check that no fluff, hair etc. is in the air inlets and outlets before switching it on again.

About nanoeTM and mineral ions

nanoeTM is a trademark of Panasonic Holdings Corporation. A nanoeTM is a nano-sized ion particle coated with water particles.

Effect of nanoeTM and mineral ions

Controls waviness by balancing hair moisture content, making hair glossy

and easy to style. In addition

What is nanoeTM, mineral ion?
What is nanoeTM?
nanoeTM is water-wrapped particulate ion, generated by applying high voltage to split water. Their diameter is smaller than approx. 1/100 of steam and they cannot be seen by the eye. nanoeTM may not be generated depending on the usage environment because nanoeTM is generated by collecting moisture in the air. In low temperatures and low humidity it becomes difficult to collect moisture from the air. In this case, ions are generated.
What are mineral ion?
Ions generated by a zinc electrode that cannot be seen by the eye.

Hair is negatively charged when nanoeTM or mineral ions are continuously applied. Negatively charged hair repulses nanoeTM and mineral anions, making it hard for nanoeTM and mineral ions to be applied to the hair. When this occurs, simply by holding the nanoeTM or mineral ion charge panel together with the handle, the negative charge accumulated on hair is released. By doing this, nanoeTM and mineral ions can continue to penetrate the hair, supplying moisture and moisturizing the hair thoroughly right up to the tip.

How to use

In order to thoroughly apply hot and cold air, part your hair to the left and right to dry it. 1 Run your hand through your hair
from the inside while blowing it in hot/cold alternating mode. (One side) 2 Run your hand through your hair from the top while blowing it in hot/cold alternating mode. (One side) 3 Repeat steps 1 and 2 on the other side.
5 Set the power switch to [ O ] 6 Remove the plug from the household outlet After drying, tidy your hair with a comb or your fingers. Keep the unit at a dry place after it has completely cooled down.

Caution Keep a distance of over 3 cm between the air outlet and your hair. Keep a distance of over 10 cm between the air inlet and your hair. Be careful not to hit the air inlet on the corner of a desk.
Note Styling and treatment appliances can be used However, if you use sticky substances such as oil, gel or wax, the intended effect of nanoeTM and mineral ions may become difficult to achieve. When nanoeTM ions are generated, the following cases may occur:
Water droplets may be blown out of the nanoeTM outlet during use. You may hear a noise from the nanoeTM outlet. You may notice a characteristic smell during use.

Skin care mode
Since the skin is likely to become dry after bathing, the moisture content of skin can be improved by blowing hair with air containing nanoeTM and mineral ions, leaving your skin moist. Do the following after drying your hair by Step 4 of “How to use”:
1 Set the power switch to [].
2 Select [COLD] with the mode switching button.
3 Hold the unit with the air outlet about 20 cm away from your chin, and blow your hair for about 1 minute while swinging the main body. During use, keep your eyes closed. You can apply lotion, emulsion or other skin care appliances for routine care as usual.
Scalp care mode
Moisture remaining on the surface of the scalp leads to stickiness or other discomfort. At a room temperature of 23 , this mode can gently dry your scalp with warm air of approx. 50 .

Do the following after drying your hair by about 70 % by Step 3 of “How to use”:
1 Select [SCALP] with the mode switching button.
2 Lift up your hair with your hand and dry your scalp. You may feel cold depending on the ambient temperature. In this case,switch to the [HOT] mode, and move the unit further away from.
3 Select [HOT] with the mode switching button and dry your hair thoroughly.
Maintenance
Always turn the power switch off and disconnect the plug from the household outlet. (except when cleaning the air outlet).
At least once a month
If dust accumulates and blocks the appliance, the performance may be degraded and the following problems may be caused:
Sparks may be seen from the interior when hot air is used. These sparks are caused by the action of thermoswitch as a protective device, and this is not dangerous. Hot air sometimes switches to cold air. Hot air becomes abnormally hot.

Cleaning the air inlet
Wipe to clean dust or hair from the air inlet with a tissue or toothbrush.
Note Do not press or rub with your nails or sharp items. Doing so may cause damage to the air inlet.
Cleaning the air outlet
1. Insert the plug into a household outlet. 2. Set the power switch to [], [] or []. 3. Select [COLD] with the mode switching
button. 4. While scraping dust and hair jammed
in the mesh with a cotton swab, blow them away with a hair dryer. Note During maintenance, do not block the air inlet with your hand. Notice Dust will disperse during or after cleaning. Before using the appliance, be sure to check that there is no dust. (Do not look into the air outlet.)
At least once a month

1. Wet the front end of a new baby cotton swab with water.
2. Gently insert the cotton swab in the outlet until it stops (about 1 cm), and then turn the cotton swab 2-3 times carefully. If cotton swabs or any
other foreign objects enter
the ion outlet, please stop
using the appliance

Clean the dirt if any in the following way

Cleaning the main body

Soak a cloth in the soapy water and squeeze it out firmly, and then wipe the main body with the cloth.
Notes Do not use substances such as alcohol, nail polish remover or detergent (hand soap). Doing so may result in malfunction or part cracks or discoloration. Do not store the appliance
with hairdressing appliances or
cosmetics on it. Doing so may cause deterioration of the plastic, leading to discoloration and cracks.

Troubleshooting

Problem
Sparks can be seen inside the appliance when using [HOT]. (These sparks are caused by the thermostat switch, the protective device, and this is not dangerous.)
Hot air repeatedly turns into cold air.
The hot air is abnormally hot.
The power plug is abnormally hot.
Sparks are generated inside the nanoeTM outlet.
A noise (crackling) is heard inside the nanoeTM outlet.

Possible cause
Dust is attached to the air inlet or air outlet.
Hair or something is blocking the air inlet.
The power plug is not firmly inserted into the outlet.
The needleshaped part located at the back of the nanoeTM outlet is dirty.

Action
Remove the attached dust. (See page 13.)
Do not block the air inlet.
Use an outlet in which the power plug fits snugly.
Perform maintenance on the nanoeTM outlet. (See page 13.)
