CHO 7450 Stratford Gas Post Light
Product Information
The Stratford Gas Post Light (Item # CHO 7450) is a light
fixture designed for outdoor use. It should be installed in
accordance with all applicable local installation codes and by
someone familiar with its construction and operation. The light
fixture comes with various parts, including glass parts (G, H, and
I), a fixture (D) with a door (C), a post mount (F), and additional
hardware such as gas adapters and flare nut fittings.

Assembly Instructions:
- Carefully remove all parts from the box and place them on a
clean, soft surface. - Install glass parts (G) to the fixture (D) and secure them by
bending the metal tabs. - Open the fixture door (C) and install glass parts (I) to the
fixture (E) using the metal tabs for secure attachment. - Install glass part (H) to the fixture door (C) using the metal
tabs, then close the fixture door. - Connect the gas tubing from the lantern to the gas source using
the appropriate connection method. - Install the fixture base (D) to the post mount (F) and secure
it with screws (E). - Double-check all gas connections and test for leaks before
attempting to light the lantern.
Note: Additional hardware, such as gas adapters
and flare nut fittings, are included inside the box for your
convenience. Discard them if not required.
Lighting Your Lantern:
- Before turning on the gas supply to the lantern, turn valve (A)
to the off position. Refer to diagram 1. - Open the door and allow the lantern to completely air out.
- With a lighter or flame above the burner tip (B), press in and
turn valve (A) counter-clockwise approximately 30 degrees until the
flame appears. Refer to diagram 2. - Adjust the flame to your desired height. Note: Do not operate
the fixture with the gas valve fully open or with a flame height
greater than 3.
Maintenance:
Before every use, perform the following checks:
- Ensure the area around the appliance is clear and free from
combustible materials, gasoline, and other flammable vapors and
liquids. - Check the burner area to ensure that the flow of gas or
combustion is never obstructed. - Always ensure proper ventilation before using the lantern.
Care Instructions:
- Allow the item to cool completely before cleaning.
- Use a feather duster or a soft cloth to clean the surface.
- Use a damp towel to clean the glass.
- Avoid using abrasives or chemical agents on the product.

or fire department. · Do not store or use gasoline or other
flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance. · Fixtures must be installed at least 3″ from combustible walls and 12″ from combustible ceilings. · Installation must conform with local codes or, in the absence of local codes, the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1. Failure to follow these instructions could result in fire or explosion, which could cause property damage, personal injury, or death.

TOOLS REQUIRED (NOT INCLUDED):

1. Carefully remove all parts from the box. Place on a clean, soft surface. 2. Install glass parts (G) to fixture (D) and secure by bending metal
tabs. 3. Open fixture door (C), then install glass parts (I) to fixture (E) and
secure by bending metal tabs. 4. Install glass part (H) to fixture door (C) and secure by bending metal
tabs, then close fixture door (C). 5. Connect gas tubing from lantern to gas source using proper
connection method. 6. Install fixture base (D) to post mount (F) and secure with screws (E). 7. Double check gas connections and test for leaks before attempting to
light lantern.
ADDITIONAL HARDWARE INCLUDED: For your convenience, 3/8″ gas adapters and additional 1/4″ flare nut fitting included inside box. Discard if not required.

LIGHTING YOUR LANTERN
NOTICE: This light fixture should be installed in accordance with all applicable, local installation codes, and by a person familiar with the construction and operation of it, as well as the hazards involved. LIGHTING YOUR LANTERN 1. Turn valve (A) to off position before turning on gas supply to lantern.
See diagram 1. 2. Open door and allow to completely air out. 3. With lighter/flame above the burner tip (B), press in and turn valve (A)
counter-clockwise approximately 30 degrees until flame appears. See diagram 2. 4. Adjust flame to desired height. Note: Do not operate fixture with gas valve fully open or flame height greater than 3″.
MAINTENANCE: CHECK BEFORE EVERY USE 1. Keep appliance area clear and free from combustible materials,
gasoline and other flammable vapors and liquids. 2. Check burner area to ensure flow of gas or combustion is never
obstructed. 3. Always ensure proper ventilation before use.
CARE INSTRUCTION 1. Allow for item to cool completely before cleaning. 2. Use feather duster or soft cloth to clean surface. 3. Use damp towel to clean glass. 4. No abrasives or chemical agents.
