The S6169 Sponge for Classic Stands is a sponge measuring 58 x
58 mm. It is designed to keep your tips clean and improve their
lifespan. It is recommended to use distilled water to keep the
sponge moist, but not soaked. Other sponges may contain substances
that can reduce the lifespan of your tips, so it is important to
use the S6169 sponge for best results. It is also available in a 25
units value pack (S7018).

The S6169 sponge is compatible with CL6217 and S7080
applications. When using oxidizing temperatures, it is recommended
to add fresh solder before putting the tool back in its stand. If
you are using an aggressive flux, it is best to cut the sponge and
use it with a metal brush (ref. CL6217).

Product Usage Instructions

Place the S6169 sponge in your Classic Stand.
Moisten the sponge with distilled water, being careful not to
soak it.
When using your tool at oxidizing temperatures, add fresh
solder before putting it back in its stand.
If using an aggressive flux, cut the sponge and use it with a
metal brush (ref. CL6217).
After use, clean your tip by wiping it on the surface of the
moistened sponge.
