Use
Warning
- Do not expose the FM radio to rain, moisture, splashing -risk of fire and/or electric shock.
- Do not put a vase of flowers on the FM radio.
- Do not expose the radio to extreme temperatures.
- Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
- Do not touch the plug or power cord with wet hands or other wet parts of your body.
- Do not put lit candles or other naked flames on the radio.
- Do not use the radio if it is damaged or not working properly, or if the power cord or plug are damaged.
- Never modify the plug in any way.
- Pull out the plug if the radio is not going to be used for some time.
- Never open the casing – risk of electric shock.
MAINS POWER
Connect the power cord to the mains connection on the back of the radio and plug the plug into a power point.
BATTERY POWER
The FM radio runs on batteries when the power cord is disconnected from the radio and the power point.
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the radio.
- Insert 3 x AA batteries (sold separately) in the battery compartment and replace the cover.
NOTE
- Check the batteries at regular intervals .
- Replace old and/or discharged batteries .
- Remove the batteries if the radio is not going to be used for some time, or when it is connected to a power point, otherwise there is a risk of the batteries leaking and damaging the radio.
RADIO
- Set the mode selector in FM mode to switch on the the radio.
- Adjust the volume with the volume control.
- Tune in the required radio station with the tuning knob.
- Put the mode selector in the OFF position to switch off the radio.
IMPROVING RECEPTION
- Pull out the antenna.
- Turn round the radio for best FM reception.
- Push in the antenna if the transmitter is too close and the FM signal is too strong.
ADJUSTING THE VOLUME
WARNING
Do not listen to loud volume with headphones – risk of hearing impairment. Adjust the volume with the volume control. Headphones with 3.5 mm plug (sold separately) can be connected to the headset port. The speaker switches off when a headset is connected.
