PIPI-33E Electric Spray Gun

Product Information

The Electric Spray Gun has a power of 330W and is suitable for
Code Model 15382 PIPI-33E. It has a voltage of 127 V, frequency of
60 Hz, and a current of 2.6 A. The container has a maximum flow of
30 oz and can operate at a rate of 450 ml/min. It has a duty cycle
of 30 minutes work and 15 minutes idle, with a maximum usage of 3
hours per day. The tool has reinforced insulation and Class E
thermal insulation on motor winding. The power cord grips type is Y
and the build quality is Grade IP IP20.

Product Usage Instructions

Before operating the Electric Spray Gun, read the user manual

gain the best performance of the tool, prolong the duty life, make
the warranty valid if necessary, and avoid hazards of fatal
injuries, read and understand the manual before using the tool.

When using the Electric Spray Gun, avoid exposing it to rain,
liquids, and/or dampness. Before gaining access to the terminals,
disconnect all power sources. If the power cable gets damaged, it
should only be replaced by the manufacturer or at an authorized
service center.

Tools with double insulation are equipped with a polarized plug.
If the plug cannot be introduced into an outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still doesn’t fit, call a qualified electrician to install a
polarized outlet. Do not alter the plug in any way. Double
insulation eliminates the need for both a grounded third power cord
with three prongs or a grounded power connection.

When using an extension cable, verify that the gauge is enough
for the power that your product needs. A lower gauge cable will
cause voltage drop in the line, resulting in power loss and
overheating. Refer to the table in the manual for the right size to
use depending on the cable’s length and the ampere capability shown
in the tool’s nameplate. When in doubt, use the next higher gauge.
It is safe to use only if the extensions have a built-in artifact

Power requirements

General power tool safety warnings

WARNING! Read carefully all safety warnings and instructions listed below. Failure to comply with any of these warnings may result in electric shock, fire and / or severe damage. Save all warnings and instructions for future references.

Work area Keep your work area clean, and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas may cause accidents.
Never use the tool in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Sparks generated by power tools may ignite the flammable material.
Keep children and bystanders at a safe distance while operating the tool. Distractions may cause loosing control.
Electrical Safety The tool plug must match the power outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with grounded power tools. Modified plugs and different power outlets increase the risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, electric ranges and refrigerators. The risk of electric shock increases if your body is grounded.
Do not expose the tool to rain or wet conditions. Water entering into the tool increases the risk of electric shock.

Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables a better control on the tool during unexpected situations.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair, clothes and gloves away from the moving parts. Loose clothes or long hair may get caught in moving parts.
If you have dust extraction and recollection devices connected onto the tool, inspect their connections and use them correctly. Using these devices reduce dust-related risks.
Power Tools Use and Care Do not force the tool. Use the adequate tool for your application. The correct tool delivers a better and safer job at the rate for which it was designed.
Do not use the tool if the switch is not working properly. Any power tool that cannot be turned ON or OFF is dangerous and should be repaired before operating.
Disconnect the tool from the power source and / or battery before making any adjustments, changing accessories or storing. These measures reduce the risk of accidentally starting the tool.

Do not force the cord. Never use the cord to carry, lift or unplug the tool. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.

Store tools out of the reach of children. Do not allow persons that are not familiar with the tool or its instructions to operate the tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.

When operating a tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Using an adequate outdoor extension cord reduces the risk of electric shock.
If operating the tool in a damp location cannot be avoided, use a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protected supply. Using a GFCI reduces the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of distraction while operating the tool may result in personal injury.
Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as safety glasses, anti-dust mask, non-skid shoes, hard hats and hearing protection used in the right conditions significantly reduce personal injury.

Service the tool. Check the mobile parts are not misaligned or stuck. There should not be broken parts or other conditions that may affect its operation. Repair any damage before using the tool. Most accidents are caused due to poor maintenance to the tools.

Keep the cutting accessories sharp and clean. Cutting accessories in good working conditions are less likely to bind and are
easier to control.

Use the tool, components and accessories in accordance with these instructions and the projected way to use it for the type of tool when in adequate working conditions. Using the tool for applications different from those it was designed for, could
result in a hazardous situation.

Service

Repair the tool in a

using only identical spare parts.

This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

Prevent unintentional starting up. Ensure the switch is in the “OFF” position before connecting into the power source and / or battery as well as when carrying the tool. Transporting power tools with the finger on the switch or connecting power tools with the switch in the “ON” position may cause accidents.
Remove any wrench or vice before turning the power tool on. Wrenches or vices left attached to rotating parts of the tool may result in personal injury.

Children or people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities shall not operate the tool, neither inexperienced people or without knowledge in the use of the tool, unless supervised by a person responsible of their safety or if receiving previous instructions about the tool operation. Children shall be kept under supervision to double-check they will not play with the tool. Tight supervision shall be used with children or disabled persons to prevent from using or being close to any household tool.

Safety warnings for electric spray guns
Substances and materials
CAUTION · The device is designed to apply coating materials like paint, varnish, enamel, etc. These materials shall have a flashpoint not lower than 70° F.
WARNING · Do not spray substances you are not familiar with and the potential hazard is unknown.
WARNING · Do not spray flammable substances. Use care with hazards originated by the substances sprayed. Review the text and information in the cans and containers, or the manufacturer specifications.
Suitable materials
· Water solvent based paint, finish, primer, and paint with two components, transparent finish, automotive finish, sealer, and wood sealer.
Non suitable materials
· Wall paint (emulsion), alkaline or acidic paint. Coating with a flashpoint lower to 70° F.

While operating the device
CAUTION · Never point the sprayer towards your body, passersby or animals. · Make sure that the equipment does not absorb any steam solvent.
CAUTION · In the event you need to pause during the application process, do not set the sprayer sideways. Set it onto the container base to keep the device in a vertical position. · Disconnect the sprayer from the power source when filling up with paint or other product. · Keep in mind the long exposure to vibration produced by tools may be harmful. Remember, a tool in good repair vibrates much less than a tool in disrepair.
After operating the device
WARNING · Do not use solvents with a flashpoint lower than 70° F to clean the sprayer.
WARNING · Never open the device to carry out repairs in the electric system.

Before operating the device
CAUTION · The device shall not be used in enclosed spaces or explosive environments. · When working outside consider the wind direction. Wind can carry the coating long distances and cause damage and make the job difficult.
CAUTION · When working indoors verify there is adequate ventilation.
WARNING · The work area shall be free if ignition sources. Do not smoke while spraying or near the work place.
CAUTION · Use a breathing mask and safety glasses when spraying to prevent damaging your lungs and eyes. · Use hearing protection.
CAUTION · People with medical implants. Before using the sprayer is recommended to visit their physician and consult with the implant manufacturer. The electro-magnetic field produced could interfere with the medical implant function.

Preparation
To gain in good results the coating job it is important to prepare the surface to be sprayed. Before applying, thin the paint or product to get the right viscosity. Double-check the surface to be spayed is free of dust, dirt or grease. Mask the areas that are not to be sprayed with good quality masking tape. The paint or product to be spayed shall be totally mixed and free of lumps or other particles. Many substances can be sprayed with the paint sprayer. Read the manufacturer recommendations before buying the product.

Thinning the material
· Most paints are sold ready to apply with a brush, but thinning is needed to be adequate for paint spaying. Follow the product manufacturer indications to thin the product correctly. · Add thinner from 5% to 10% until reaching the right viscosity to apply the material. · The viscosity cup included helps to determine the paint right viscosity. Viscosity is determined with the seconds the material takes to be discharged from the viscosity cup. The next table shows the recommended times for the different types of product.

· If after thinning the product the dispersion capacity is too low, add more thinner. Slowly add more thinner from 5% to 10% until the dispersion capacity meets your needs.
Filling up the container
CAUTION · Disconnect the sprayer when filling up the container with paint or product. · Unscrew the sprayer container. · Align the suction pipe depending the job to be carried out: To spay horizontal objects set the suction pipe forward (A). To spray objects above head set the suction pipe backwards (B). · Set the container onto a piece of paper. Pour the prepared coating and fasten the container in the sprayer.

· Before starting the paint sprayer adjust the type of spray suitable for the job. · Loosen slightly the spray lock (A) so that the spray disperser (B) is released. · Turn the disperser into the position most suitable for the job. · Adjust back the spray lock.

· Turn the volume selector (C) upward to increase the volume of the spraying material. · Turn the volume selector downwards to decrease the spraying material.

Turning on
· Plug the cable into the power outlet. · Press the switch (E). · Press the trigger switch (D) to start the paint sprayer motor and the product starts flowing out. Aim the sprayer at a piece of cardboard until the product is sprayed. · Release the trigger to stop the spray flow.
WARNING · Never press the trigger while adjusting the spray selector.

Spraying techniques
· To gain good results always keep the sprayer level and parallel to the surface (E). Keep the nozzle at 10″ – 12″ from the surface and spray evenly from side to side and up and down. Do not spray in an angle otherwise the paint will run on the surface. Work with light and even passes. When spraying large surfaces use a crossed pattern (F). · Never start or stop the sprayer while aiming at the surface to be sprayed. · Move the sprayer with in a constant and uniform speed. Fast movements produce thin layers. Slow movements produce thick layers. · Apply one layer at a time. Before applying second layer read the drying recommendation of the product manufacturer. Remember, to get a better finish it is better to apply two thin layers than only one thick layer. · When spraying small areas keep the outlet control down. It prevents from using too much paint ant prevents from over doing the spraying. · Prevent when possible stopping and continuing the spraying of an object. It causes too much or very little paint. · Do not tilt the paint sprayer in an angle higher than 45°.

Maintenance

Cleansing and care
· It is very important to thoroughly clean the paint sprayer after each use.
WARNING An inadequate cleansing will result in a bad performance and will make the Warranty void. · Disconnect the power cable. · Press the spray gun lock (G) to separate the pulverizing cylinder (H) from the sprayer housing. · Separate the container and empty it completely. · Clean the container with a brush and solvent adequate for the product that was used. · Pour a little amount of the same solvent into the container. · Fasten back the container and assemble the sprayer again. · Connect the power cable. · Start the sprayer and spray into a container until the solvent comes out clean from the nozzle. · Turn off the sprayer and disconnect.

· Clean the sprayer outer parts and the container with cloth dampened with solvent or water. · Unscrew the spray lock (I) and remove the air cap and the nozzle. Clean the air cap and the nozzle with a brush and solvent or water.
WARNING Never clean the seals, diaphragm and nozzle, the air orifices or any part of the sprayer with metal objects. · Do not submerge the sprayer in solvent. Apply solvent only to clean with a cloth.
WARNING Never place the sprayer under water jets or submerge in liquid. Clean the housing using only a damp cloth.

Troubleshooting

Problem
The material is not coming out from the nozzle .

Cause
· The nozzle is blocked. · The suction pipe is blocked. · The position of the volume selector is facing totally down (-). · The feeding pipe is loose. · There is no pressure accumulated in the container.

Solution
· Clean the nozzle. · Clean the suction pipe. · Turn the selector up (+).
· Install the pipe correctly. · Tighten the container.

The material drips out from the nozzle.

· The nozzle is loose. · The nozzle is worn. · The nozzle seal is worn. · The coating material is built up in the air cap, the nozzle or the needle.

· Tighten the nozzle. · Replace the nozzle. · Replace the nozzle seal. · Clean the build up.

The spray is too thick.

· Viscosity in the coating material is too high. · Volume of the material is too much. · The volume selector position is totally up (+). · The nozzle is contaminated. · The air filter is very dirty. · Not enough pressure accumulated in the container.

· Thin the material (see page 7). · Turn the volume selector down (-). · Turn the volume selector down (-). · Clean the nozzle. · Replace the filter. · Tighten the container.

The spray jet is

· The container is getting empty.

Solución de problemas

Problema
El material no sale por la boquilla.

Causa
· La boquilla está bloqueada. · El tubo de succión está bloqueado. · La posición del selector de volumen está totalmente hacia abajo (-). · El tubo de alimentación está suelto. · No se acumuló presión en el contenedor.

El material gotea por la boquilla.

· La boquilla está suelta. · La boquilla está gastada. · El sello de la boquilla está gastado. · El material de recubrimiento se acumuló en la tapa de aire, la boquilla o la aguja.

La atomización es muy gruesa.

· La viscosidad del material de recubrimiento es muy alta. · El volumen del material es demasiado. · La posición del selector de volumen está totalmente hacia arriba (+). · La boquilla está contaminada. · El filtro de aire está muy sucio. · Se acumuló muy poca presión en el contenedor.

El chorro de rocío sale · El contenedor se está vaciando. de manera irregular. · El filtro de aire está muy sucio.

Mantenimiento

Limpieza y cuidados
· Es muy importante limpiar la pistola por completo después de cada uso.
ADVERTENCIA Una limpieza inadecuada dará como resultado un mal funcionamiento e invalidará la garantía. · Desconecte el cable de alimentación. · Presione el seguro de la pistola (G) para separar el cilindro pulverizador (H) de la carcasa de la pistola. · Separe el contenedor y vacíelo por completo. · Limpie el contenedor con un cepillo y un solvente adecuado para el producto que se utilizó. · Vierta un poco del mismo solvente en el contenedor. · Vuelva a atornillar el contenedor y arme la pistola de nuevo. · Conecte el cable de alimentación. · Encienda la pistola y rocíe en un contenedor hasta que sólo salga solvente limpio por la boquilla. · Apague la pistola y desconecte.

· Limpie el exterior de la pistola y el contenedor con un trapo mojado en solvente o agua. · Desatornille el seguro de rocío (I) y retire la tapa de aire y la boquilla. Limpie la tapa de aire y la boquilla con un cepillo y solvente o agua.
ADVERTENCIA Nunca limpie con objetos de metal los sellos, el diafragma y la boquilla, los orificios para aire o cualquier parte de la pistola para pintar. · No sumerja la pistola en solvente. Aplique solvente solamente para limpiar con ayuda de un trapo.
ADVERTENCIA Nunca ponga la parte trasera de la pistola para pintar debajo de un chorro de agua ni la sumerja en líquidos. Limpie la carcasa solamente con un trapo húmedo.

Puesta en marcha
Selector de rocío
· Antes de encender la pistola ajuste el tipo de rocío dependiendo del trabajo a realizar. · Afloje ligeramente el seguro de rocío (A) para que el dispersor de rocío (B) quede libre. · Gire el dispersor a la posición del rocío más adecuado para el trabajo. · Apriete de nuevo el seguro de rocío.

Selector de volumen de material
· Gire la perilla de ajuste de flujo (C) hacia arriba para aumentar el volumen de material a rociar. · Gire la perilla de ajuste de flujo hacia abajo para disminuir el volumen de material a rociar.

Encendido
· Conecte el cable de alimentación al tomacorriente. · Presione el interruptor (E). · Presione el gatillo interruptor (D) para que encienda el motor de la pistola y el producto comience a salir. Apunte la pistola hacia un pedazo de cartón hasta que salga el rocío del producto. · Suelte el gatillo para detener el flujo de rocío.
ADVERTENCIA · Nunca apriete el gatillo mientras ajuste el selector de rocío.

Técnicas de rociado
· Para obtener un buen resultado mantenga siempre la pistola nivelada y paralela a la superficie (E). Mantenga la boquilla a 25 cm – 30 cm de la superficie y rocíe de manera pareja de un lado al otro y de arriba hacia abajo. No rocíe en ángulo, de lo contrario la pintura se correrá por la superficie. Dé pasadas suaves y uniformes. Cuando rocíe áreas grandes, utilice un patrón cruzado (F). · Nunca arranque o detenga la pistola mientras esté apuntando la superficie que se va a rociar. · Desplace la pistola a una velocidad constante y uniforme. Los movimientos rápidos producen capas delgadas y los movimientos lentos producen capas gruesas. · Aplique una capa a la vez. En caso de requerir otra capa vea las recomendaciones de secado del fabricante del producto antes de aplicar una segunda capa. Recuerde que para un mejor acabado, aplicar dos capas delgadas siempre es mejor que aplicar sólo una capa gruesa. · Cuando rocíe áreas pequeñas mantenga el control de salida bajo. Con esto se evita utilizar demasiada pintura y previene sobre rociar. · Evite siempre que sea posible detener y continuar el rociado de un objeto. Esto ocasiona que se aplique demasiada o poca pintura. · No incline la pistola para pintura en un ángulo mayor a 45°.

Preparación

Para obtener buenos resultados con la aplicación del recubrimiento es importante que prepare la superficie a rociar y adelgace la pintura o producto para que obtenga la viscosidad correcta antes de su aplicación. Confirme siempre que la superficie a rociar esté libre de polvo, suciedad y grasa. Confirme que ha enmascarado las áreas que no se vayan a rociar con cinta adhesiva protectora de buena calidad. La pintura o producto a rociar se debe mezclar por completo y debe estar libre de grumos u otras partículas. Se puede rociar varias substancias con la pistola para pintura. Revise siempre las recomendaciones del fabricante del producto antes de comprarlo.

Adelgazamiento del material
· La mayoría de las pinturas se venden listas para su aplicación con brocha y necesitan ser adelgazadas antes de ser adecuadas para su aplicación con pistola. Siga las instrucciones del fabricante del producto para adelgazarlo adecuadamente. · Se recomienda agregar un diluyente del 5% al 10% hasta alcanzar la viscosidad adecuada para aplicar el material. · La copa para viscosidad incluida le ayuda a determinar la viscosidad correcta de la pintura. La viscosidad se puede determinar por medio de los segundos que tarda el material en ser descargado de la copa para viscosidad. La siguiente tabla muestra los tiempos recomendados para diferentes productos.

· Si después de adelgazar el producto la capacidad de dispersión es muy baja añada más diluyente del 5% al 10% poco a poco hasta que la capacidad de dispersión cumpla con sus necesidades.

Llenado del contenedor

ATENCIÓN · Desconecte la pistola del suministro

· Desatornille el contenedor de la pistola para pintura.

para uso de pistolas para pintar

Substancias y materiales
ATENCIÓN · El equipo está diseñado para aplicar materiales de recubrimiento como pintura, barniz, esmalte, etc. Los cuales deben tener un punto de inflamación no menor de 21° C, consulte la etiqueta de la lata o contenedor del producto.
ADVERTENCIA · No rocíe substancias con las cuales no esté familiarizado y desconozca su peligro potencial.
ADVERTENCIA · No rocíe substancias inflamables. · Tenga cuidado con los peligros que se originen por las substancias rociadas. Consulte el texto y la información de las latas y contenedores o las especificaciones del fabricante.
Materiales adecuados
· Pintura con base de agua y solvente, acabados, primers, pintura con 2 componentes, acabados transparentes, acabados automotrices, selladores y sellador para madera.
Materiales NO adecuados
· Pintura para paredes (de emulsión), pintura alcalina o ácida. Recubrimientos con un punto de ignición menor a 21° C.

Mientras opera el equipo
ATENCIÓN · Nunca apunte la pistola pulverizadora hacia usted ni a otras personas o animales. · Asegúrese de que el equipo no absorba ningún vapor solvente.
ATENCIÓN · Si va a hacer una pausa durante el proceso de aplicación, no ponga de lado la pistola, apóyela en la base del contenedor para que quede en posición vertical. · Desconecte la pistola del suministro eléctrico cuando llene el contenedor con pintura o producto. · Recuerde que la exposición prolongada a vibraciones producidas por herramientas puede ser dañino. Recuerde que una herramienta en buen estado vibra mucho menos que otra en mal estado.
Después de operar el equipo
ADVERTENCIA · No use solventes con un punto de inflamación menor de 21° C para limpiar la pistola.
ADVERTENCIA · Nunca abra el dispositivo para llevar a cabo algún tipo de reparación al sistema eléctrico.

Antes de operar el equipo
ATENCIÓN · El equipo no debe utilizarse en espacios cerrados ni en ambientes explosivos. · Si va a trabajar en exteriores considere la dirección del viento. El viento puede llevar el recubrimiento a grandes distancias y ocasionar daños, además de dificultar el trabajo.
ATENCIÓN · Si va a trabajar en interiores verifique que haya ventilación adecuada.
ADVERTENCIA · El área de trabajo debe de estar libre de cualquier fuente de ignición. No fume durante el trabajo de rociado ni cerca del área de trabajo.
ATENCIÓN · Utilice una mascara respirador y lentes de seguridad cuando rocíe para evitar daños en los pulmones y los ojos. · Utilice protección auditiva.
ATENCIÓN · Se recomienda que las personas con implantes médicos consulten a su médico y al fabricante del implante antes de operar la pistola, pues el campo electromagnético que produce podría interferir con el funcionamiento del implante médico.

Advertencias generales de seguridad para herramientas eléctricas

¡ADVERTENCIA! Lea detenidamente todas las advertencias de seguridad y todas las instrucciones que se enlistan a continuación. La omisión de alguna de ellas puede dar como resultado un choque eléctrico, incendio y/o daño serio. Conserve las advertencias y las instrucciones para futuras referencias.

Área de trabajo Mantenga el área de trabajo limpia y bien iluminada. Las áreas desordenadas y obscuras son propensas a accidentes.
No maneje la herramienta en ambientes explosivos, como en presencia de líquido, gas o polvo inflamables. Las herramientas eléctricas producen chispas que pueden encender material inflamable.
Mantenga alejados a los niños y curiosos cuando opere la herramienta. Las distracciones pueden hacer que pierda el control.
Seguridad eléctrica La clavija de la herramienta debe coincidir con el tomacorriente. Nunca modifique una clavija. No use ningún tipo de adaptador para clavijas de herramientas puestas a tierra. Clavijas modificadas y enchufes diferentes aumentan el riesgo de choque eléctrico.
Evite el contacto del cuerpo con superficies puestas a tierra como tuberías, radiadores, cocinas eléctricas y refrigeradores. Hay un mayor riesgo de choque eléctrico si el cuerpo está puesto a tierra.
No exponga la herramienta a la lluvia o condiciones de humedad. El agua que ingresa en la herramienta aumenta el riesgo de choque eléctrico.
No fuerce el cable. Nunca use el cable para transportar, levantar o desconectar la herramienta. Mantenga el cable lejos del calor, aceite, orillas afiladas o piezas en movimiento. Los cables dañados o enredados aumentan el riesgo de choque eléctrico.
Cuando maneje una herramienta en exteriores, use una extensión especial para uso en exteriores. El uso de una extensión adecuada para exteriores reduce el riesgo de choque eléctrico.
Si el uso de la herramienta en un lugar húmedo es inevitable, use una alimentación protegida por un interruptor de circuito de falla a tierra (GFCI). El uso de un GFCI reduce el riesgo de choque eléctrico.

No sobrepase su campo de acción. Mantenga ambos pies bien asentados sobre el suelo y conserve el equilibrio en todo momento. Esto permite un mejor control de la herramienta en situaciones inesperadas.
Vista adecuadamente. No vista ropa suelta o joyas. Mantenga su pelo, su ropa y guantes alejados de las piezas en movimiento. La ropa o el pelo sueltos o las joyas pueden quedar atrapados en las piezas en movimiento.
En caso de contar con dispositivos de extracción y recolección de polvo conectados a la herramienta, verifique sus conexiones y úselos correctamente. El uso de estos dispositivos reduce los riesgos relacionados con el polvo.
Uso y cuidados de la herramienta No fuerce la herramienta. Use la herramienta adecuada para el trabajo a realizar. La herramienta adecuada hace un trabajo mejor y más seguro cuando se usa al ritmo para el que fue diseñado.
No use la herramienta si el interruptor no funciona. Cualquier herramienta eléctrica que no pueda encenderse o apagarse es peligrosa y debe repararse antes de ser operada.
Desconecte la herramienta de la fuente de alimentación y/o de la batería antes de efectuar cualquier ajuste, cambiar accesorios o almacenarla. Estas medidas reducen el riesgo de arrancar la herramienta accidentalmente.
Almacene las herramientas fuera del alcance de los niños y no permita su manejo por personas no familiarizadas con las herramientas o con las instrucciones. Las herramientas eléctricas son peligrosas en manos no entrenadas.
Déle mantenimiento a la herramienta. Compruebe que las partes móviles no estén desalineadas o trabadas, que no haya piezas rotas u otras condiciones que puedan afectar su operación. Repare cualquier daño antes de usar la herramienta. Muchos accidentes son causados por el escaso mantenimiento de las herramientas.

Seguridad personal Esté alerta, vigile lo que está haciendo y use el sentido común cuando maneje una herramienta. No la use si está cansado o bajo la influencia de drogas, alcohol o medicamentos. Un momento de distracción mientras maneja la herramienta puede causar un daño personal.
Use equipo de seguridad. Use siempre protección para los ojos. El uso de equipo de seguridad como lentes de seguridad, mascarilla antipolvo, zapatos antideslizantes, casco y protección para los oídos en condiciones apropiadas, reduce de manera significativa los daños personales.
Evite arranques accidentales. Asegúrese de que el interruptor está en posición “apagado” antes de conectar a la fuente de alimentación y/o a la batería o transportar la herramienta. Transportar herramientas eléctricas con el dedo sobre el interruptor o conectar herramientas eléctricas que tienen el interruptor en posición de “encendido” puede causar accidentes.
Retire cualquier llave o herramienta de ajuste antes de arrancar la herramienta eléctrica. Las llaves o herramientas que quedan en las partes rotativas de la herramienta pueden causar un daño personal.

Mantenga los accesorios de corte afilados y limpios. Los accesorios de corte en buenas condiciones son menos probables de trabarse y más fáciles de controlar.
Use la herramienta, sus componentes y accesorios de acuerdo con estas instrucciones y de la manera prevista para el tipo de herramienta, en condiciones de trabajo adecuadas. El uso de la herramienta para aplicaciones diferentes para las que está diseñada podría causar una situación de peligro.

Los niños deben de estar bajo supervisión para asegurarse de que no jueguen con la máquina. Se debe de mantener una estricta supervisión si niños o personas discapacitadas llegan a utilizar cualquier tipo de aparato electrodoméstico o estén cerca de él.

La construcción del aislamiento eléctrico de esta herramienta es alterado por salpicaduras o

derramamiento de líquidos durante su operación. No la exponga a la lluvia, líquidos y/o humedad.

ADVERTENCIA Antes de obtener acceso a las terminales, todos los circuitos de alimentación deben ser desconectados.

Requerimientos eléctricos

ADVERTENCIA Las herramientas de doble aislamiento y aislamiento reforzado están equipadas con una clavija polarizada (una pata es más ancha que la otra). Esta clavija cabe en cualquier enchufe polarizado y sólo puede conectarse de una forma. Si la clavija no cabe en el enchufe, voltéelo. Si aún así no cabe, póngase en contacto con un electricista calificado o instale un enchufe polarizado. No altere la clavija en forma alguna. Ambos tipos de aislamiento eliminan la necesidad de un cable de corriente de tres partes con conexión a tierra o de un sistema de corriente eléctrica con conexión a tierra.

ATENCIÓN

ADVERTENCIA Al usar un cable de extensión, asegúrese de usar el calibre suficiente para transportar la corriente que consumirá su herramienta. Un cable de un calibre inferior ocasionará caídas de tensión en la línea, teniendo como resultado pérdida de potencia y sobrecalentamiento del motor. La siguiente tabla muestra el tamaño correcto que debe usarse dependiendo de la longitud del cable y de la capacidad de amperes indicada en la placa de datos de la herramienta. Si tiene dudas use el siguiente calibre más alto.
