eXact Color Tintable Caulk

Product Information:

The eXact Color Tintable Caulk is a versatile product that can
be used for various applications such as siding, cabinets,
countertops, stained woodwork, trim, and more. It offers several

Where NOT to Use:

Do not use the eXact Color Tintable Caulk in the following

Dry Time:

Tack free: 30 minutes

Full cure: 4-5 days (depending on temperature and humidity)

Paintable:

You can paint over the eXact Color Tintable Caulk if desired,
even though it already contains paint.

Clean up / Removal:

Clean the caulk using soap and water.

Product Usage Instructions:

  1. Before you start, wait for the paint to skin over for about 4
    hours.
  2. Cut off the tip of the cartridge above the threading and
    discard.
  3. Using the syringe, draw up 20-30 mL of paint (or 10 mL of
    stain) and inject it into the top of the cartridge.
  4. Screw on the cap and shake the cartridge vigorously for at
    least 60 seconds. You can do this by hand or using a paint
    shaker/mixer.
  5. Open the thickener, remove the cap from the cartridge, and
    squeeze the entire contents of the thickener into the
    cartridge.
  6. Replace the cap and vigorously shake the cartridge again for at
    least 60 seconds.
  7. Wait at least 30 minutes for the caulk to fully thicken.
  8. Remove the cap, attach the nozzle, cut it to the desired bead
    size, and apply.

Where NOT to Use
· Areas of water submersion or frequent, prolonged puddling
· Areas with high foot and/or vehicle traffic (driveways, sidewalks, decks, patios, etc.)
· Roofs exposed to prolonged dampness (use Sashco’s Through the Roof!® instead)
· Will not adhere to or is incompatible with Kynar®*, Polypropylene, Waxes, Polyethylene, and Silicone.
· May discolor copper

Applications Basics

Dry Time Tack free: 30 minutes. Full cure: 4-5 days (depending on temperature and humidity)
Paintable: Um? Feels like you’re missing something here. You mix the paint in, so you shouldn’t need to paint it! But, like all Sashco products, you can paint over it.
Clean up / Removal Soap and water
Application Range 40° to 120°F (4° to 49°C)
Service Range -30° to 250°F (-34° to 93°C)

How to Use
Before you start:
· Ensure surface is clean
· Application range: 40°F to 120°F
· Protect from water for 48 hours after application
eXact Color will match paint once it has skinned over in about 4 hours
· Cure time: 4-5 days
Step 1: Cut off the tip of the cartridge above the threading and discard.
