Safety Notes

Warning

• Ensure that data transfer is complete before removing a hard drive from the hard drive enclosure.
• Always use the Eject function of your operating system (computer, smartphone, tablet/Windows, Mac OS, Android) before removing a hard drive from the hard drive enclosure.
• If you do not do this, data may be lost.
• Under no circumstance does Hama GmbH & Co KG accept liability for loss of data stored on data storage media.

Startup and Operation

• Carefully undo the screw of the hard drive enclosure using a suitable screwdriver.
• Now slide the lid of the hard drive enclosure to the rear.
• Carefully insert the 2.5-inch hard drive into the enclosure.
• Close the enclosure again by tightening the screw.
• Switch on your computer and boot the system.
• Connect the product to a free USB port on your computer.
• You do not have to install drivers; the computer will automatically recognize the product.
• If necessary, follow the instructions for your operating system.
• The product can now be used.

Note

• If the hard drive is already partitioned and data is on the hard drive, you can access that data.
• New or unpartitioned hard drives must be partitioned and formatted after initialization. Refer to the operating system manual for your computer/notebook for the necessary steps to do so.
