FAQS

can you put sub on presonus 5.2?

Yes, you can add one.

Are these Speakers Sheilded for use next to LCD/LED Computer Screens ?

LCD and LED screens don’t require shielding. That’s from the CRT days

How is the bass response on these?

It is not as low as the KRK’s.

its 199.99 for two monitors right ?

If it was for a pair previously, maybe back in 2014, then no it’s not anymore.
This item is for one monitor.

What cables does this speaker pair come with?

it comes with: 5′ Stereo 3.5mm TRS to Dual RCA Cable, 5′ Stereo 3.5mm TRS Cable, 6.6′ Speaker Cable and the Power Cable

Using the trs inputs for my focusrite 2i2, do these speakers come with the necessary wire to connect the two speakers? i have trs cables.

No, you will need to supply a connection cable to run from the speaker to your Focusrite 2i2. Double check to verify that you have a TRS input on your 2i2 if that’s the case you should be able to use a 1/4 to 1/4 Stereo cable or an RCA to 1/4 Stereo cable. Note that the 1/4 input to the speaker is TRS (Balanced) and the RCA output is unbalanced. An example of a 1/4 to RCA cable would be a Hosa CPR-201 or CPR-202.

Do the Eris 4.5 mute themselves when a headphone is connected?

Ideally they should, unless you’re using the Presonus Audiobox (or any other audio interface) and you connect headphones to that. In which case, they won’t mute.

Is E3.5 woofer speaker cone unprotected? It appears to have no fabric covering as many speakers would have.

Take a piece of t-shirt and bring it back and forth between your face and the monitors.. you will hear that even something like a tshirt of pantyhose, has a considerable effect on the sound projection. Also, having grills on the speaker looks cheap imo..

Does this come with all the necessary cords to connect this to a computer? Is it rca trs or xlr?

It depends on which speakers you order. The 3.5 and 4.5 come with everything necessary, but the 5 and higher definitely do not come with everything you need. Just the speaker and AC adapter.
