Educational Insights Spark More Play Paper Chain Pop-Up Cards Instructions

MATERIALS

• Scissors
  
• Glue Stick
  
• Coloring Tools
  
• Printed Template
  
• Construction Paper
  

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Print and cut out your favorite template or create your own design in Step 3!
2. Accordion fold a piece of construction paper five times so you have six sides. Make the width of the folds the same width as your template. Trim any excess paper.
   
3. Trace the template on the front of the folded paper or draw your own design, making sure your design touches both sides.
   
4. Cut out your design, but don’t cut all the way around! Don’t cut where the design touches the folded sides of the paper to keep the chain intact. Then color or decorate your paper chain.
5. To make the card, take another piece of construction paper and fold it in half, hamburger style.
6. Glue the two outer folds of the paper chain to either side of the card base and you’re done!
