Can a soundbar be used without a TV, though? You can use a soundbar without a TV as long as it has more input options than just HDMI.
The sound quality is optimum when using an HDMI cable. The majority of TVs and soundbars feature HDMI ports. Remember that an HDMI ARC or eARC cable and port are required. You’ll need an optical cable in addition to an HDMI cable if you don’t have this.
A new HDMI cable is not necessary when using HDMI ARC. Any HDMI cable should be capable of meeting the demands.
Disconnect the cords, then rejoin them when the TV and audio components (Soundbar, Home Theater System) are off. Make sure the cords are firmly linked between the TV and the audio equipment.
Both cables are reasonably priced. The greatest distinction is that HDMI can transmit audio at higher resolutions, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio, which are audio formats available on Blu-ray discs.
Audio Return Channel is referred to as ARC. Most HDMI 2.0b cables and some HDMI connectors employ this technology. With ARC, you may broadcast audio from a TV back to the source, such as a receiver or soundbar, but a conventional HDMI link can only carry video images.
If the speaker gets wet, first drain the water from it, and then use a soft, dry towel to remove the moisture. Leaving moisture on its surface could cause the speaker to freeze and malfunction, especially in colder climates. After utilizing the speaker, make sure to wipe off any remaining moisture.
There are still many soundbars available with legacy audio inputs that will function with older TVs, including CRT (also known as “tube”) TVs that are many years old, despite the fact that the majority of newer soundbars require an HDMI connection to connect to HDTVs and 4K TVs.
You can usually turn off or silence the built-in speakers on most contemporary TVs. To send signals directly to the soundbar itself, you then change your TV’s audio setup menu’s sound output to “External.”
