A fun ornamental plant thought to bring good luck and fortune.
Pachira Aquatica, most commonly referred to as a Money Tree, is native to the marshes and rainforests of Mexico, Central, and South America. Pachira Aquatica makes for a versatile indoor plant; it can be kept small as a bonsai or grown into larger floor plants (in the wild Pachira can reach sixty feet in height). Pachira is grown both as a single thick-stemmed plant and with a thinner braided stem that is popular in ornamental décor
Pachira are perfect for beginner plant parents because they are quite hardy and suitable for multiple environments. They are immensely popular as a token of fortune and good luck, and are used in feng shui as a way to invite calming energy and positivity into living spaces. Pachira are happiest in bright indirect light, but do well under
fluorescent lights, making them popular office plants. Pachira should be watered regularly so that the soil is always at least lightly moist but never dry. Misting the leaves helps provide moisture to the plant to mimic its natural environment. They do well in high-humidity areas such as kitchens and well-lit bathrooms
