BAKER WATER SYSTEMS Monitor Weld-On Pitless Adapter

Product Information

The BEZ Pitless Adapters are lead-free adapters manufactured by Baker Water Systems. They contain less than 0.25% lead which is required by NSF/ANSI 372. These adapters are available in two types: Weld-On and Clamp-On. The Weld-On adapters have six different models that vary in well size, drop pipe size, discharge pipe size, weight, and maximum safe load rating. The Clamp-On adapters have four different models that vary in well size, drop pipe size, weight, and lead-free feature. The adapters are suitable for use in water systems.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Choose the appropriate model of BEZ Pitless Adapter based on the well size, drop pipe size, and discharge pipe size.
  2. Ensure that the adapter is lead-free and suitable for your water system.
  3. Install the adapter by welding or clamping it onto the well casing.
  4. Connect the drop pipe to the adapter using the female NPT connection.
  5. Connect the discharge pipe to the adapter using the male NPT connection.
  6. Ensure that the adapter is securely fastened and can handle the maximum safe load rating.
  7. Test the water system to ensure that it is working properly.
  8. Maintain the adapter regularly to prevent any damage or malfunction.

Pitless adapters attach to the well casing to provide a sanitary and frost-proof seal between the casing and the water line. This prevents the water from freezing and allows for convenient access to the well and well components without having to dig around the well. The adapter connects to the well casing below the frost line. Water from the well is diverted horizontally at the adapter preventing it from freezing. In the past, a well pit was the most common way to access the well pipe connections. Well pits are generally unsanitary, due to drainage into the well from surface and near-surface sources. Pitless well construction reduces the potential for contaminated water to enter the well, and is significantly more economical than a well pit.
