BEFORE STARTING:
WARNING: Improper wiring of any electrical device can cause serious injury or death. These wiring devices should only be installed by a certified electrician or other qualified person.
CAUTION: This product should be installed in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable local codes and standards.
TURN OFF POWER BEFORE INSTALLING.
*Use only copper wire*
INSTALLATION OF OUTLET BOX:
- For wall mounting, fasten mounting lugs to box in desired orientation using provided screws (Fig. 1).
- Pull power supply wires into box, securing with appropriate fitting.
- Mount box to wall using 1” long screws (not included) that are appropriate for the wall material.
- Close any remaining holes with enclosed plugs and use a silicone sealing compound for wet location installation.
INSTALLATION OF DEVICE and COVER:
- Refer to included receptacle manufacturer’s instructions for receptacle wiring.
- Ensure box is grounded using green ground screw.
- Remove tear-outs from gasket as required to fit duplex device.
- Remove the screws from the receptacle.
- Using these screws, mount cover, gasket and receptacle to outlet box with the hinge at the top (Fig. 2)
Tip: Insert and hand tighten the bottom screw first, followed by the top screw.
Then tighten both screws with a screwdriver.
