HOW TO CLEAN
There is a slide switch to unlock the heat head of the razor so that you can place it in the cleaning stand since Braun wants you to clean the razor on the stand after every shave. -after using gel or foam, continue using the razor while rinsing the head under hot water. Then, detach the head and let it dry naturally.
HOW TO SHARP
- Open the top and remove the blades.
- Separate the blade from the screen.
- With a coarse stone, knock off the oxidation.
- Provide light pressure for 10 seconds.
- After the blades are reshaped, hone it on a smooth stone.
- now put it back on the razor.
HOW TO OIL AN ELECTRIC RAZOR
Before using a spray lubrication, the shaving head must be fully dry. Spray the blades and foils liberally while maintaining a 2- to 3-inch distance from the can. After that, you can replace the shaving head and let the razor run for a short while to uniformly disperse the lubricant.
HOW TO FIX AN ELECTRIC RAZOR
Check the battery and recharge it if it is low before checking the electrical cable if a shaver is completely unresponsive. Test the switches and motor as necessary (see the Appliance Controls Fix-It Guide). Cleaning and lubricating the heads will help an electric shaver run more quickly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, it is compatible with the 5190cc.
I believe the shaving head is supposed to be replaced every six months. I haven’t had this shaver that long but that was the recommendation for my last Braun and I believe that is what I read for this one.
No, I don’t think you have to unscrew anything to charge it. I have the charging cable, and I just plug the cable into the bottom of the shaver. If you have a charging base, I would think you’d just set the shaver in the base so the contacts line up.
We recommend changing the blade at least once every 18 months. However, you may need to do it sooner depending on your beard type, shaving method, and how well you clean and maintain your shaver.
When used as directed, our Series 7 7020s is safe to use and it will not hurt shave.
Due to the flexible head, you can’t lock it.
I take the shaving head (foil, etc. or whatever you call it) and rinse it and the razor too. Instructions also say to run some light oil on the head and blades from time to time. I haven’t used the cleaning station yet. Seems to work.
Yes, these will work with a series 7 790cc shaver.
I Don’t think so.
The trimmer is about the same length as the foil cutters. It is not terribly convenient to snap one unit off and the other on, and the trimmer’s location isn’t the best either.
I think you can just spray some lubricant like WD 40 on it while you’re rinsing it off.
