Hoto Qwldz001 Brushless Drill User Manual

QWLDZ001 Brushless Drill

Product Information:

The HOTO 12V Brushless Drill is a versatile tool designed for
tightening and loosening screws, as well as drilling holes on
various materials such as wood, metal, plastic, and bricks.
However, it is not suitable for drilling on hard materials like
concrete or stone. It is important to choose the appropriate bit or
drill based on the material you will be working with.

Product Usage Instructions:

  1. Bit/Drill Installing: Rotate the chuck in the
direction of arrow (1) to release it. Insert the bit/drill and turn
the chuck in the direction of arrow (2) to lock it in place. Avoid
using machine inertia to lock the chuck. Make sure the bit/drill is
securely locked in place before pressing the Major Switch to start
    usage.
  2. Major Switch/Switch Flip: The switch flip
allows for Continuously Variable Transmission. By increasing
pressure on the switch, the rotation speed of the bit/drill also
    increases.
  3. Clockwise Rotation: When drilling/screwing,
press the 3 Major Switch/Switch Flip. The icon on the 5 Screen will
    light up.
  4. Anticlockwise Rotation: When
drilling/unscrewing, press the 4 Reverse/Lock-up button. The icon
on the 5 Screen will light up.
  5. Function Switch: To screw, push the 2 Function
Switch to Screw Position and press the 3 Major Switch/Switch Flip.
The drill will operate at a low speed suitable for
screwing/unscrewing. To drill, push the 2 Function Switch to Drill
Position and press the 3 Major Switch/Switch Flip. The drill will
operate at a high speed suitable for drilling.
  6. Mode Switch: Press the 8 Mode Switch to choose
between self-select mode and pulse mode. In pulse mode, the symbol
will be displayed on the screen and the drill operates at a
constant speed suitable for practice and familiarization. In
self-select mode, numbers indicating different gears will be
    displayed on the screen.
  7. Gear Adjustment under Self-select Mode:
Self-select mode has 30 gears. Press the 7 button once to gear up
or the 6 button to gear down in order to adjust torque step by
step. Long press the 7 or 6 button to rapidly switch gears.
  8. Screwing Function: For screwing, it is
recommended to start from lower gears and not exceed gear 5 to
prevent excessive torque that may damage components. Gear 1 outputs
the lowest torque, and as you increase the gear, the output of
torque increases correspondingly up to gear 30.
  9. Note: When using gears 16-30, the output
torque is high. It is advised to use the tool with both hands to
prevent excessive reaction force that may twist your wrist and
    ensure safety.
  10. Drilling Function: For drilling in hard
materials such as steel and ceramic tile, you can directly increase
to Gear 30 to maximize efficiency. Gear 1 outputs the lowest torque
and rotation speed, while gear 30 outputs the largest torque and
    rotation speed.

03 General Power Tool Safety Warnings
WARNING! Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specifications provided with this power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference. The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded)
Work Area Safety
Keep work area clean and well lit. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes. Keep children and bystanders away while operating a powertool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Electrical safety
Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock. When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock. If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

wiring. parts of the power tool “live” and could give the operator an electric shock.
Safety instructions when using long drill bits Never operate at higher speed than the maximum speed rating of the drill bit. At higher speeds, the bit is likely to bend if allowed to rotate freely without contacting the workpiece, resulting in personal injury. Always start drilling at low speed and with the bit tip in contact with the workpiece. At higher speeds, the bit is likely to bend if allowed to rotate freely without contacting the workpiece, resulting in personal injury. Apply pressure only in direct line with the bit and do not apply excessive pressure. Bits can bend causing breakage or loss of control, resulting in personal injury.

Always wait until the power tool has come to a complete stop before placing it down. The application tool can jam and cause you to lose control of the power tool. Switch the power tool off immediately if the application tool becomes blocked. Be prepared for high torque reactions which cause kickback. The application tool becomes blocked when it becomes jammed in the workpiece or when the power tool becomes overloaded. Use suitable detectors to determine if there are hidden supply lines or contact the local utility company for assistance. Contact with electric cables can cause fire and electrical shock. Damaging gas lines can lead to explosion. Breaking water pipes causes property damage.
