Safety instructions

Intended use
This product is meant to be used to amplify analog audio signals for playback with headphones. Any other use or use under other operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from improper use.

Ensure that children do not detach any small parts from the product. They could swallow the pieces and choke!  Never let children unattended use electrical devices

Where to use the product
Never use the product

  • in conditions of extreme temperature or humidity
  • in extremely dusty or dirty areas
  • at locations where the unit can become wet

Possible hearing damage
Thomann Swissonic Quadphone - warning iconWhen headphones are connected, the unit can produce a volume that may cause temporary or permanent hearing impairment. Do not operate the device continuously at a high volume. Turn down the volume immediately if background noise or hearing failure should occur.

General handling

  • To prevent damage, never use force when handling the product.
  • Never immerse the product in water. Just wipe it with a clean dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners such as benzene, thinners or flammable cleaning agents.

1. Volume control for outputs 1 – 4.
2. Outputs 1 – 4, 1/4″ jacks.
3. Power-on indicator.
4. Power supply port.
5. Toggle switch for stereo or mono operation.
6. RCA inputs for line-level signals.
7. 1/4″ jack for line-level signals.

Using the product

  1. Connect the analog signal source whose line-level signals you want to play via headphones using an RCA cable to the  INPUT socket pair (y) or to the 1/4″ jack INPUT (u).
  2. Connect up to four headphones to the unit via the 1/4″ phone jacks (w).
  3. Connect the power adapter cable to the 12 – 16 V jack (r) and plug the power adapter into a properly wired electrical outlet.  The power-on light comes on.
  4. Adjust the volume of each headphone output with the controls (q) as desired.
  5. For stereo signal playback, set the stereo/mono switch (t) to the stereo position, otherwise to the mono position.
  6. To turn off the device, unplug the power adapter from the wall outlet.
