256815 Classic Flanger

Product Information

The Classic Flanger is an effects pedal designed for electric
guitars. It features controls for regeneration, delay time, width,
and speed. The pedal can be powered by a 9-V block battery or a
power adapter (both not included).

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before using the pedal, carefully unpack and check for any
    transportation damage. Keep the original packaging for future
    use.
  2. If transporting or storing the pedal, it is recommended to use
    the original packaging or suitable packaging material to protect it
    against vibration, dust, and moisture.
  3. Connect your electric guitar to the input jack of the Classic
    Flanger pedal.
  4. Connect the output jack of the pedal to your amplifier or audio
    interface.
  5. Adjust the regeneration, delay time, width, and speed controls
    according to your desired flanger effect.
  6. If using a 9-V block battery, insert it into the designated
    battery compartment on the pedal. Ensure the correct polarity.
  7. If using a power adapter, connect it to the power input on the
    pedal. Make sure to use a compatible power adapter.
  8. Turn on your amplifier or audio interface, then activate the
    Classic Flanger pedal by pressing the appropriate button or
    switch.
  9. Experiment with different settings and controls to achieve your
    desired flanger effect.
  10. To turn off the pedal, simply deactivate it by pressing the
    button or switch again.

Intended use

This device is intended to be used for sound processing of signals from musical instruments with electromagnetic pickups. Any other use or use under other operating conditions is con- sidered to be improper and may result in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from improper use.
This device may be used only by persons with sufficient physical, sensorial, and intellectual abilities and having corresponding knowledge and experience. Other persons may use this device only if they are supervised or instructed by a person who is responsible for their safety.

Danger for children
Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of properly and are not within reach of babies and young children. Choking hazard! Ensure that children do not detach any small parts (e.g. knobs or the like) from the unit. They could swallow the pieces and choke! Never let children unattended use electrical devices.
NOTICE!
Operating conditions
This device has been designed for indoor use only. To prevent damage, never expose the device to any liquid or moisture. Avoid direct sunlight, heavy dirt, and strong vibrations. Only operate the device within the ambient conditions specified in the chapter `Technical specifications’ of this user manual. Avoid heavy temperature fluctuations and do not switch the device on immediately after it was exposed to temperature fluctuations (for example after transport at low outside temperatures). Dust and dirt inside can damage the unit. When operated in harmful ambient conditions (dust, smoke, nicotine, fog, etc.), the unit should be maintained by qualified service personnel at regular intervals to prevent overheating and other malfunction.

NOTICE! External power supply The device is powered by an external power supply. Before connecting the external power supply, ensure that the input voltage (AC outlet) matches the voltage rating of the device and that the AC outlet is protected by a residual current circuit breaker. Failure to do so could result in damage to the device and possibly the user. Unplug the external power supply before electrical storms occur and when the device is unused for long periods of time to reduce the risk of electric shock or fire. NOTICE! Risk of fire due to incorrect polarity Incorrectly inserted batteries may destroy the device or the batteries. Ensure that proper polarity is observed when inserting bat- teries. NOTICE! Possible damage by leaking batteries Leaking batteries can cause permanent damage to the device. Take batteries out of the device if it is not going to be used for a longer period.

4 Installation and starting up
Unpack and check carefully there is no transportation damage before using the unit. Keep the equipment packaging. To fully protect the product against vibration, dust and moisture during transportation or storage use the original packaging or your own packaging material suitable for transport or storage, respectively.

Create all connections while the device is off. Use the shortest possible high-quality cables for all connections. Take care when running the cables to prevent tripping hazards.

Handle the device with care. Do not try to disassemble or repair the device yourself if it should not work. Do not use solvents such as alcohol to clean the device.

Power supply

You can either use a 9 V battery or the DC 9 V connection for an external power supply. Before connecting, check for correct polarity.

When you do not use the pedal unplug the instrument cable from the input jack. Otherwise, the battery will be discharged.

Installation and starting up

Changing the battery

To insert or change the battery, disconnect a possibly used power adapter from the mains socket. Turn the pedal over, press lightly on the battery compartment cover and slide it down- wards in the direction of the arrow. Remove the back cover. Insert/replace the 9-V block bat- tery paying attention to the polarity markings and place the cover again into its original posi- tion until it locks.
NOTICE! Risk of fire due to incorrect polarity Incorrectly inserted batteries may destroy the device or the batteries. Ensure that proper polarity is observed when inserting batteries.

1 [REGEN] | turn this control to set the regeneration of the effect.
2 [DELAY TIME] | turn this control to set the delay time of the effect in a range from 0.9 ms to 6.4 ms.
3 [WIDTH] | turn this control to set the sound width of the effect.
4 [SPEED] | turn this control to set the speed of the effect in a range from 0.4 Hz to 8 Hz.
5 [DC 9V] | connection for the external power supply with 9 V DC. When an external power supply is used, the battery supply is cut off automatically.
6 [IN] | 1/4″ jack socket to connect instruments
7 [TRUE BYPASS] | foot switch for enabling or disabling the pedal function
8 This LED lights when the effects pedal is used. When the LED is off or dim while the effects pedal is used, the battery is exhausted and must be replaced.
9 [OUT] | 1/4″ jack socket to connect an amplifier

Disposal of the packaging mate- rial

For the transport and protective packaging, environmentally friendly materials have been chosen that can be supplied to normal recycling.
Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are properly disposed of.
Do not just dispose these materials with your normal household waste, but make sure that they are fed to a recovery. Please follow the notes and markings on the packaging.

Disposal of batteries

Batteries must not be disposed of as domestic waste or thrown into fire. Dispose of the bat- teries according to national or local regulations regarding hazardous waste. To protect the environment, dispose of empty batteries at your retail store or at appropriate collection sites.
