Sidewall Port for Regulated Portables

TOOLS NEEDED

– drill
– 1″ hole saw

STEP 1: WIRE THE SIDEWALL PORT

1. Ensure solar panels are not connected at this time.
2. Identify a location for sidewall port installation.
3. Drill hole using the 1″ hole saw.
   *Zamp solar recommends using a 1″ grommet to protect the wiring from abrasion.
4. Run wires through the drilled hole.
5. Connect the fused positive (red), sidewall port wire to the positive battery terminal.
6. Connect the negative (black), sidewall port wire to the negative battery terminal.

STEP 1: WIRE THE SIDEWALL PORT

1. Peel the white protective layer off of both sides of the included gasket and stick one side onto the bottom of the wall port.
2. Mount the sidewall port in place using proper fasteners.
   *For increased longevity, apply sealant around the perimeter of the sidewall port that is in contact with the vehicle.
