10 Inch Flat Platen
Product Information:
The Flat Platen (10) is a component used in a machine for
various applications. It consists of several parts that need to be
assembled. The assembly includes a 1.5 SQ Tool Arm (14 LG), a
Platen D Plate, 1/2 Hex Bolts (3LG), 1/2 Carriage Bolts (2.5LG),
Black Adjustable Internal Thread, Formed Platen, 5/16 Spacer (1/2
ID, 1.0OD), Wear Plate (10 X 2), Handle, and Idler Wheels.
Product Usage Instructions:
- Start by assembling the Platen D Plate onto the 1.5 SQ Tool Arm
(14 LG). - Use two 1/2 Hex Bolts (3LG) and two 1/2 Carriage Bolts (2.5LG)
to secure the Platen D Plate onto the Tool Arm. - Attach the Black Adjustable Internal Thread to the assembled
Platen D Plate and Tool Arm. - Place the Formed Platen onto the assembled components.
- Insert two 5/16 Spacers (1/2 ID, 1.0OD) into the designated
slots on the Formed Platen. - Attach the Wear Plate (10 X 2) to the flat platen using short
1/4 Hex Bolts. - Align the assembled Flat Platen with the belt on the machine
and tighten it in place. - Ensure not to overtighten, as it may strip the threads in the
Wear Plate. - Install two Idler Wheels onto the designated positions.

FLAT PLATEN (10″) ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
TOOL LIST – ¾” COMBO WRENCH – ¾” SOCKET AND RATCHET – 7/16″ COMBO WRENCH OR SOCKET
10″ Platen Assembly
Place one teflon washer between arm and d-plate where the d-plate will rotate (red arrow). Install the platen d-plate with ½-13 x 2-1/2 carriage bolt, flat washer, and nylock nut on the short arm. Make sure the holes in the d-plate are on the bottom. (green arrow) Insert the ½”-13 x 2-1/2″ carriage bolt into the slot and secure with ½-13 internal threaded adjustable handle. Install the idler wheels into the platen d-plateusing ½”-13x 3″ hex bolt, spacer, and nylock nut. Be careful not to overtighten bearings. The wheel should spin freely but there shall not be extra space between the bearings and nut or bolt head. Install the platen onto the platen d-plate using ¼”-20threaded handles and ¼”-20x 1″ carriage bolts.

Install the wear plate to the flat platen using short 1/4″ hex bolts. Align with belt on machine and tighten in place. Overtightening may strip the threads in the wear plate.
