Product Usage Instructions

  1. Connect the 15pin SATA power cable to the motherboard and the
    hard disk.
  2. To initialize the new hard disk, follow these steps:
    1. Open the “Computer” window.
    2. Select “Manage” and then click on “Disk Management”.
    3. Find the new disk in the list.
  3. To format the new hard disk, there are two methods:
    1. Method 1:
      1. Right-click on the external disk in the “Disk Management”
        window.
      2. Select “New Simple Volume”.
      3. Follow the instructions to choose the size of the partition and
        click “Next” to finish.
    2. Method 2:
      1. Open the “Computer” window.
      2. Find the new hard disk in the list of drives.
      3. It is now ready to be used.

Note: It is important to initialize the partitioned hard
disk when connecting the USB interface to a new removable hard
disk.

Remark: There are two types of formatting available – MBR
and GPT. The capacity of an SSD can also be viewed in the “Disk
Management” window.
