Product Usage Instructions
- Connect the 15pin SATA power cable to the motherboard and the
hard disk. - To initialize the new hard disk, follow these steps:
- Open the “Computer” window.
- Select “Manage” and then click on “Disk Management”.
- Find the new disk in the list.
- To format the new hard disk, there are two methods:
- Method 1:
- Right-click on the external disk in the “Disk Management”
window. - Select “New Simple Volume”.
- Follow the instructions to choose the size of the partition and
click “Next” to finish.
- Right-click on the external disk in the “Disk Management”
- Method 2:
- Open the “Computer” window.
- Find the new hard disk in the list of drives.
- It is now ready to be used.

Note: It is important to initialize the partitioned hard
disk when connecting the USB interface to a new removable hard
disk.
Remark: There are two types of formatting available – MBR
and GPT. The capacity of an SSD can also be viewed in the “Disk
Management” window.
