- Verify the dirt cup is empty & securely attached to the machine
- Check to be sure the brush is turning
- If not, clear any debris attached to it
- The brush rotation causes the debris to be picked up
- If the brush is turning, the machine is functioning properly
- If the brush is turning but debris is not being picked up
- The carpet/rug may be too thick/dense for sweeper use
- The brush needs to rotate freely for debris to be picked up
- If the brush is turning but debris is not being picked up
