Frequently Asked Questions
The electric crusher is not battery powered, it plugs into the wall.
It has an inner lid and outer lid when it grinds. If you wait a few minutes after grinding the powder cloud is less – also depends on the pill itself how much powder cloud is produced.
There is no button. To turn it on, you press down on the lid. It runs for as long as you hold it down. When you let go, it stops.
I don’t think it has any latex parts and my wife is very sensitive to latex. She’s used it almost every day with no reaction.
It will grind to almost a powder if you keep grinding. Short time grinding does leave ‘chunks’, so I just grind a bit longer.
I am sure it would. It is a large grinding machine and there wouldn’t be much left of your pill. Do you have a mortar and pestle? That would be a better solution. One pill would be fairly easy to grind. Or you could get a KRUPS Coffee grinder which is much less in size and works great.
It will grind it into a fine powder but as with larger quantities of pills, it creates a fine dust that will stick to the metal sides of the unit & you will need to use the supplied brush to sweep the residue of and wipe the inside down with damp cloth or paper towel on a regular basis. I’m finding that the higher humidity causes the dust to stick more, seems like a lot of work for one pill a day.
No, solution. My first pill crusher, I ordered, the rubber ring tore . I returned it and reordered another one. I’ve had this one for a couple of months with no problem. I suggest if you get another one to not disturb the rubber ring because its flimsy but crushes the pills great.
I have no idea what creon enzyme beads are. If they don’t have liquid in them they should be crushed. I really don’t know. I stopped using this and now use a Krups coffee grinder. It is much smaller than the one shown here.
No, I tried to remove it to clean under the blade. It’s a good grinder. I used a small brush to clean under the blade.
Sorry, don’t sell or supply them, but I’ve wondered the same thing if that rubber sealing ring broke or became lost. A thin rubber band might work as a temporary fix, but I haven’t tried it.
If it was up to me, sure you can exchange it.
