Installing Your Strip Lights

1. Preparation Before Installing
   1. a. Unpack the box and check all items listed in the packing list.
   2. b. Plug the adapter into the power outlet to check whether the lights turn on.
2. Installing Steps
   1. a.Wipe the surface to make sure it’s clean and dry.
      
   2. b. Peel off the protective film on the tape stick the strip on and press over it firmly.
      
   3. c. Reinforce via clips around corners.
      
   4. d. Peel off the protective film on the control box and stick it on.
      
   5. e. Power on the strip lights and begin using.
      

Controlling with the Control Box

Downloading the Govee Home App

Download the Govee Home app from App Store (iO5 devices) or Google Play (Android devices).
Notice: You need a smartphone running iOS 9.3 (or above) or Android 4.4 (or above).

Connecting the Strip Lights to the APP

1. Turn on Bluetooth in your mobile phone.
2. Open Govee Home app and tap “+” icon in the top right corner.
3. Select “H61 02” in the device list.

Troubleshooting

1. The adhesive tape is not strong enough.
   1. a. Make sure the installation surface is clean and dry.
   2. b. Firmly press over the strip after sticking.
   3. c. Reinforce the installation via more clips and tape.
2. The control box doesn’t work.
   Re-plug in the adapter port and try again.
3. Cannot connect to Bluetooth.
   1. a. Do not skip Bluetooth connection in the app.
   2. b. Make sure Bluetooth in your mobile phone has been turned on.
   3. c. It may be caused by incompatibility between the phone system and the app. Please change to another mobile phone and connect again.
   4. d. Power on the strip and turn on the Bluetooth in your phone again and try to re-connect.
   5. e. Keep the distance between the strip and the phone less than 1 m/3.28ft while connecting.
   6. f. Keep obstructions beMeen the strip and the phone as few as possible.
4. The strip doesn’t match the same color/some lamp beads don’t light up. Please contact Govee support team in time for return.
5. The strip lights don’t work.
   1. a. Pull out every connective part of the strip lights and firmly re-connen them.
   2. b. Tap On/Off button on the control box or app to check whether it is a strip quality issue.
6. Cannot sync to the music beat.
   1. a. Please keep the control box close to the sound source.
   2. b. Clean out the sound picking hole on the control box.
