General Information

Omcan Manufacturing and Distributing Company Inc., Food Machinery of America, Inc. dba Omcan and Omcan Inc. are not responsible for any harm or injury caused due to any person’s improper or negligent use of this equipment. The product shall only be operated by someone over the age of 18, of sound mind, and not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol, who has been trained in the correct operation of this machine, and is wearing authorized, proper safety clothing.
Any modification to the machine voids any warranty, and may cause harm to individuals using the machine or in the vicinity of the machine while in operation.

CHECK PACKAGE UPON ARRIVAL

Upon receipt of an Omcan shipment please inspect for external damage. If no damage is evident on the external packaging, open carton to ensure all ordered items are within the box, and there is no concealed damage to the machine. If the package has suffered rough handling, bumps or damage (visible or concealed), please note it on the bill of lading before accepting the delivery and contact Omcan within 24 hours, so we may initiate a claim with the carrier. A detailed report on the extent of the damage caused to the machine must be filled out within three days, from the delivery date shown in the shipping documents. Omcan has no recourse for damaged products that were shipped collect or third party.

Before operating any equipment, always read and familiarize yourself with all operation and safety instructions.

Omcan would like to thank you for purchasing this machine. It’s of the utmost importance to save these instructions for future reference. Also save the original box and packaging for shipping the equipment if servicing or returning of the machine is required.

Safety and Warranty

WARNING

• Please ensure that the voltage of the outlet matches that of the unit.
• Do not wear long sleeves, necklaces, hoods, or wear long hair loosely as it could cause a hazardous situation.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Omcan or one of it’s qualified service agents.
• The connection must be grounded.
• For indoor use only.
• Ensure that children do not operate or play with the machine.
• To protect against risk of electrical shock do not put any part of the appliance in water or other liquid.
• Unplug from the outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
• Do not leave appliance unattended.
• Switch off the appliance before approaching parts which move in use

RESIDENTIAL USERS: Vendor assumes no liability for parts or labor coverage for component failure or other damages resulting from installation in non-commercial or residential applications. The right is reserved to deny shipment for residential usage; if this occurs, you will be notified as soon as possible.

1 YEAR PARTS AND LABOUR WARRANTY

Within the warranty period, contact Omcan Inc. at 1-800-465-0234 to schedule a drop off to either an Omcan authorized service depot in the area, or to an Omcan Service warehouse to repair the equipment.

Unauthorized maintenance will void the warranty. Warranty covers electrical and part failures, not improper use.

WARNING:

The packaging components are classified as normal solid urban waste and can therefore be disposed of without difficulty.

In any case, for suitable recycling, we suggest disposing of the products separately (differentiated waste) according to the current norms.

DO NOT DISCARD ANY PACKAGING MATERIALS IN THE ENVIRONMENT!

Operation

BEFORE FIRST USE

Clean the machine with a clean, dry cloth before your first use. In order to clean the roller and cutter, you can pass a small quantity of dough through them several times. Then discard the dough.

TO USE

1. Cut the dough into manageable pieces with a knife.
2. Pull the knob and turn to “1”, let the two rollers completely open (about 2.5mm).
3. Put the two covers over the wide and narrow cutters, turn on the switch and pass a piece of dough through the roller. Sprinkle some flour on the dough if necessary.
4. Repeat the operation 2-3 times.
5. When the dough has taken a regular shape, adjust the knob to “2”. Then repeat until you achieve the desired thickness.
6. Put the dough into the wide cutter to achieve wide noodles.
   Alternatively, put the dough into the narrow cutter to achieve narrow noodles.

NOTE

• If the cutters can’t cut, it means the dough is too soft and you should pass the dough through the rollers with flour several times.
• If the dough is too hard and the machine can’t operate, please put the dough into a bowl and mix in more water.
• The work time of the machine cannot exceed 15 minutes at a time.
• Do not adjust the knobs while the machine is in use.
• Unplug the unit before cleaning and performing maintenance.
• Use a soft and dry cloth to clean the machine after use.
• Never wash the machine with water or in a dishwasher.
• Use a brush to clean the cutters and rollers after use.
• If necessary or if the rollers squeak, you can lubricate the rollers with food safe oil.
• Don’t insert knives or cloths in between the rollers.
• It is advisable to store the machine and accessories in the original box after using.
• All repairs are to be performed by a qualified technician.
• Do not dismantle the machine, doing so could be hazardous and void the warranty.
