Gewiss 67ib Green Wall Installation Guide

67IB Green Wall

Product Information

The Green Wall is a product that is designed for fixing various
articles on different surfaces such as metal frames, sheets, and
masonry walls. It includes enclosures and distribution boards,
junction boxes, and boxes for interlocked socket-outlets. The
product is available in different sizes and versions.

Fixing Methods

The Green Wall products can be fixed using the following
methods:

  • On Metal Frame: For products with tabs on the sides of the
    horizontal walls, an extra horizontal frame is used. For products
    with tabs on the sides of the vertical walls, vertical uprights are
    used. The structure is created using special screws for
    plasterboard, and then the back-mounting box is fixed to the frame
    using the tabs.
  • On Sheet: The back-mounting box is fixed to the back of the
    sheet using tabs, and then anchored from the front of the sheet
    using special screws for plasterboard.
  • On Masonry Wall: The back-mounting boxes of the PT DIN GREEN
    WALL and CM GREEN WALL junction boxes, and boxes for interlocked
    switched socket-outlets are equipped with special reference points
    for fixing to masonry walls using wall plugs.

Product Usage Instructions

Fixing on Metal Frame

  1. Identify whether the product has tabs on the sides of the
    horizontal walls or vertical walls.
  2. If the product has tabs on the sides of the horizontal walls,
    use an extra horizontal frame to create a structure.
  3. If the product has tabs on the sides of the vertical walls, use
    vertical uprights to create a structure.
  4. Use special screws for plasterboard to secure the
    structure.
  5. Fix the back-mounting box to the frame using the tabs.

Fixing on Plasterboard

  1. Attach the back-mounting box to the back of the sheet using the
    tabs.
  2. Anchored from the front of the sheet using special screws for
    plasterboard.

Fixing on Masonry Wall

  1. Identify the type of back-mounting box being used (PT DIN GREEN
    WALL, CM GREEN WALL junction boxes, or boxes for interlocked
    switched socket-outlets).
  2. Use wall plugs to fix the back-mounting box to the masonry wall
    using the special reference points.

Fixing on a metal frame
The products can be fixed on a metal frame in two ways: for products with tabs on the sides of the horizontal walls, use an extra horizontal frame; for products with tabs on the sides of the vertical walls, use vertical uprights. The structure is created with the aid of special screws for use with plasterboard, then the back-mounting box is fixed to the frame by means of the tabs.

Fixing on plasterboard
Method A: with tabs The back-mounting box is fixed to the back of the sheet with the aid of the tabs, then anchored from the front of the sheet with special screws for use with plasterboard.
E.g. fixing of a junction box
Method B: with clamps The boxes for modular domestic ranges (3,4,6 gangs) and the round boxes can be fixed directly to walls (even double sheet walls) using the metal clamps. To prepare the sheet for the installation of the boxes, use a hollow mill ø 68 (for rectangular boxes of 3,4,6 gangs) or a hollow mill ø 65 (for round boxes), using the references on the boxes themselves.
