To Measure Rainfall:
Place the rain gauge in an open area away from trees, buildings, etc.
Side Mount: (A)
Mount rain gauge on a level surface. Anchor with 2-in nails.
Ground Mount: (B)
To mount in-ground, bend bracket back and bend sides down. Place into level ground.
Helpful Hints:
DO insert a glass tube into the top of a metal base with a slight twisting motion. DO NOT snap the glass tube into the base. DO NOT let the water freeze in a glass tube. Ice may crack the tube.
