The Baby Lock 1/4” Quilting or Patchwork Foot has several uses. Not only can the foot be used to sew an exact 1/4” seam
for quilt piecing, it can also be used to sew perfect 1/4” topstitching

You will see several markings on the foot. 

1. The circular opening is where the needle will pass through the foot to form the stitch.
   The Baby Lock foot is designed with a single opening that will prevent puckering and ensure accurate stitching.
2. The notch and marking on the right side of the foot is important to watch when you want to turn a corner for topstitching or stopping an exact 1/4” from the edge when piecing your quilt.
3. This mark is placed 1/4” behind the center needle position to aid in pivoting, stopping and starting.
