Product Information: Baby Lock Felling Foot (ESG-FF)
The Baby Lock Felling Foot is a sewing accessory designed for
use with Baby Lock sewing machines. It features a 4mm underfoot
groove, making it ideal for creating flat felled seams and turning
narrow edges and hems on lightweight fabrics. Flat felled seams are
commonly used in men’s and women’s shirts as well as casual
garments for children. This foot allows for encasing and stitching
fabric seam allowances with a double row of topstitching.
Product Usage Instructions
To achieve a perfect felled seam using the Baby Lock Felling
Foot, follow these steps:
- Place the wrong sides of your fabric together and stitch a 5/8
inch seam using a straight stitch. Set the stitch length to
2-2.5mm. - Press the seam to one side and trim the lower seam allowance to
3/8 inch. - Turn the top seam allowance under 1/4 inch and press.
- Place the folded edge in the groove of the foot.
- Edge stitch, guiding the fold to the inside edge of the curl in
the felling foot.

Instructions
The Baby Lock Felling Foot has a 4mm underfoot groove which is perfect for making flat felled seams and for turning narrow edges and hems on lightweight fabrics.
A flat felled seam is the preferred seam for men’s and women’s shirts and children’s casual garments. In a felled seam, the fabric seam allowances are both encased and stitched with a double row of topstitching.

Stitch:
Straight stitch
Stitch length: 2-2.5mm
Here’s how to make a perfect felled seam with your Baby Lock Felling Foot:
1. Place wrong sides of your fabric together and stitch a 5/8″ seam, using a stitch length of 2-2.5mm. Press the seam to one side. Trim the lower seam allowance to 3/8.”
