- Attach the hose clip by inserting the point into the hole in the side of the barrel. To attach the hose, screw the threaded end into the side outlet. When not in use clip the hose to the barrel.
- To install the debris screen, insert it into the opening. This durable plastic mesh screen is designed to keep leaves, sticks, and other debris out of the barrel. It also helps prevent pets and other animals from entering the barrel.
- The barrel must be positioned on a flat, level surface. We recommend using a patio stone as a base to prevent shifting and tipping.
- Before installing the barrel you will need to shorten the current downspout to allow water to exit into the barrel. Remove the elbow from the downspout; measure and cut the downspout so that the tip will be 5 cm (2 in) above the barrel screen once the elbow is reinstalled. The clearance is required to allow you to remove the screen for cleaning.

Winter Storage/Rangement pour l’hiver
Drain the barrel and hose completely prior to freezing temperatures. Store the barrel upside down to avoid cracking during winter. Failure to follow the winter storage instructions will void the warranty.
