Boss W-2hm Heavy Metal Waza Craft Owner's Manual

W-2HM Heavy Metal Waza Craft

Product Information

The HM-2W is a guitar effects pedal that offers various sound
variations and tone adjustments. It can operate on a 9-volt battery
or a 9-volt AC adaptor (PSA series, sold separately). The pedal
features a CHECK indicator that shows the status of the effect and
the battery level. It has knobs for adjusting the tone frequency
ranges, a mode switch for selecting sound variations, a level knob
for adjusting the volume, and a pedal switch for turning the
effects on/off. The pedal can be connected to a guitar amplifier or
another effects unit using the OUTPUT jack.

Precautions When Connecting Changing the Battery

Main Specifications

· To prevent malfunction and equipment failure, always turn down the volume, and turn off all the units before making any connections.
· Once everything is properly connected, be sure to follow the procedure below to turn on their power. If you turn on equipment in the wrong order, you risk causing malfunction or equipment failure.

When powering up: When powering down:

Turn on the power to your guitar amp last.
Turn off the power to your guitar amp first.

· Before turning the unit on/off, always be sure to turn the volume down. Even with the volume turned down, you might hear some sound when switching the unit on/off. However, this is normal and does not indicate a malfunction.
· Do not use connection cables that contain a built-in resistor.

Use of Battery
· The life of the included battery may be limited as its primary purpose was for testing during assembly.
· If you handle batteries improperly, you risk explosion and fluid leakage. Make sure that you carefully observe all of the items related to batteries that are listed in “USING THE UNIT SAFELY” and “IMPORTANT NOTES” (supplied on a separate sheet).
· When operating on battery power only, the unit’s indicator will become dim when battery power gets too low. Replace the battery as soon as possible.
· If the batteries run extremely low, the sound may distort, but this does not indicate a malfunction. If this occurs, please replace the batteries or use the AC adaptor (sold separately).
· Batteries should always be installed or replaced before connecting any other devices. This way, you can prevent malfunction and damage.
