ROOM PLACEMENT

Before You Start – Some Klipsch speakers have feet and other accessories that may need to be installed prior to use. Please refer to Diagrams 1, 2 and 3 for installation.
Left and Right Main Channel Speakers – For optimum performance, Klipsch suggests placing your speakers six to 15 feet (2 to 4.5m) apart and at least 24 inches (60.8cm) from the back and side walls. They may also be toed-in slightly for better stereo imaging. The listening position should be about 1 to 1.5 times the distance separating the speakers. Refer to Figures 1 and 3 for connection and placement.
Center Channel Speakers – Center channel speakers are designed to place dialogue and primary sounds so that they appear to come from the video screen. The speakers should therefore be placed as close to the screen as possible, preferably directly on top of or below the screen. Refer to Figures 1, 2, and 3 for connection and placement.

Rear Surround Channel Speakers – Klipsch WOST™ surround speakers should be placed approximately 2 feet above the listening position. Typically this will be about 5-7 feet above the floor. The surrounds should be placed on the walls directly adjacent to the listening position. Another option would be on the wall behind the listening position. The final surround speaker placement depends on your room’s characteristics. They are designed to recreate the sense of space and ambience that many of today’s surround sound technologies provide. Refer to Diagram 4 and Figures 1 and 3 for connection and placement.
CONNECTING
Conventional Connection – Using 16-gauge or larger speaker wire, connect the RED “positive” (+) terminal of the LEFT speaker to the RED “positive” (+) terminal of your amplifier’s LEFT channel. Connect the BLACK “negative” (-) terminal of the LEFT speaker to the BLACK “negative” (-) terminal of your amplifier’s LEFT channel. Repeat this procedure for connecting all remaining speakers to the appropriate amplifier channels. Refer to Figure 3. Make sure that no bare wires from any of the connections touch any other terminals as this could cause a short and damage your equipment.
Some Synergy speakers come with dual binding posts that are connected by a metal strip. Do not remove this strip or your speakers will not function correctly. Keep this strip in place and connect your speaker wire to the top set of the binding posts. It is possible to “Bi-wire” a speaker that has two sets of binding posts. Please see your receiver’s manual for further instructions.
Amplifier Requirements – Klipsch speakers are highly efficient and will operate easily on a wide variety of amplifiers. All Klipsch speakers are 8-ohm compatible and can be driven to very high levels with low distortion. Due to the high output levels Klipsch speakers are capable of reproducing, exercise caution with the volume control. Excessive volume over long periods can permanently damage your hearing. Overdriving your amplifier could also damage your speakers. Check with your dealer to make sure your particular amplifier is best suited to your application. We want you listening for a lifetime.
CARE AND CLEANING
The only thing you should ever need to do to your speakers is dust them occasionally. Never apply any abrasive or solvent-based cleaner or any harsh detergent. You can clean the grilles with the brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner.

FAQs
Can a Klipsch C-200 center channel speaker be mounted above the TV?
Center speakers can be put easily on a shelf either above or below the TV or on top of an entertainment cabinet. For optimal performance, simply ensure that the speaker is tilted up or down toward the listener.
Can you use Klipsch C-200 center channel speakers for left and right?
Yes, you can utilise three speakers that are advertised as “centre” speakers in place of the three front speakers. The good news is that having three front speakers that are exactly alike is a terrific idea. Dolby Laboratories and I both utilise this setup.
Should Klipsch C-200 center speaker be mounted above or below TV?
The centre speaker should often be placed immediately beneath the TV. This will most accurately replicate sound emanating from the TV and should be at or near ear level. Directly above the TV is the next-best position if you can’t place it there. The most crucial thing is to keep it close to the television.
Where should a Klipsch C-200 center channel speaker be placed?
First, your centre speaker should be placed as near to the height of your ears as possible. For most systems, this will put the center channel speaker either below or above your flat-panel TV.
Can I put Klipsch C-200 center speaker on floor?
You can, but it won’t sound very good if you mean literally on the ground. In reality, it’ll probably sound awful. Sure, if you mean on a lower shelf, however positioning will probably need to be adjusted so that it is properly angled up toward the listening area.
Can you have two Klipsch C-200 center channel speakers?
Even while you can use two centre channel speakers, this is frequently not recommended or able to provide audio of superior quality. Instead, using two centre channel speakers might cause audio distortion due to comb filtering, altered timing of the identical audio signals, and other factors that cause sound confusion.
Can I use a Klipsch C-200 center channel speaker alone?
The centre channel speaker can still be used independently and still produce excellent sound.
What is a Klipsch C-200 center channel speaker good for?
A home theatre system’s centre channel speaker is essential since it reproduces around 70% of the dialogue from movies and television shows. You’re missing out on important details of what you’re watching without one.
Does Klipsch C-200 center speaker have to be centered?
Instead of having the centre channel speaker off-center, it is more preferable to have it CENTERED above or below the display. The better option is NO centre channel speaker if the centre channel speaker cannot be placed CENTERED on the display.
Why do Klipsch C-200 center channel speakers have two woofers?
Because the centre speakers have two woofers, the tweeter can be placed in the middle instead of to one side, which would again interfere with the left-right soundstage.
How do I connect my receiver to my Klipsch C-200 center channel speaker?
Utilize a speaker cable to connect the TV and AV receiver. Connect the AV receiver to the TV’s CENTER SPEAKER IN connector using a speaker cable (not included). Be sure to twist the speaker cable ends before inserting them into the TV and AV receiver’s connection terminals while connecting.
Should the Klipsch C-200 center channel be louder?
No, the middle shouldn’t be louder than the fronts when tuned properly. The centre is not louder because of the setup’s numbers (or not as loud). These modifications are available to help you accommodate for variations in loudness among speaker models.
Does Klipsch C-200 center channel have to match front?
Yes, matching is ideal. The front three should have identical talks, but the “matching” centre is a close second. Front stage mismatches are typically not advised. Better than a mismatch is no centre at all.
How do I use my TV as a Klipsch C-200 center speaker?
Utilize a speaker cable to connect the TV and AV receiver. Connect the AV receiver to the TV’s CENTER SPEAKER IN connector using a speaker cable (not included). Be sure to twist the speaker cable ends before inserting them into the TV and AV receiver’s connection terminals while connecting.
Why is my Klipsch C-200 center speaker not working?
If the centre speaker doesn’t function during setup, check the speaker wire as there can be a wiring issue. Make sure the centre channel from the amplifier to the speaker is connected properly. Try some fresh speaker wire if it doesn’t work after that.
