Product Information
The Multi-purpose Respiratory Protection is a versatile and
durable product designed to provide respiratory protection in
various work environments. It features a visor with hinges that can
be opened for easy communication with team members outside of
respiratory hazards. The air flow and distribution can be fully
adjusted with the air deflector system to suit personal preference.
The product also includes a fixed jaw for secure cape attachment
and a Vision-LinkTM light mount point for additional
visibility.
The Multi-purpose Respiratory Protection is equipped with a
large optically-clear safety lens that provides optimum vision and
high velocity impact protection. The lens is replaceable and comes
in a choice of 5 anti-fog and scratch resistant ANSI Z87+ lenses:
Premium Clear, Green Tint (Shade 5), Yellow Tint, Black Tint, and
Mirror Tint. The head protection is ANSI Z89.1 certified for
safety.
The interior of the product is padded and features an adjustable
ratchet system for a perfect customized fit. This enhances comfort
and productivity by supporting movement. The Multi-purpose
Respiratory Protection offers three cape materials to choose from
for added flexibility.
The Z-Link+ variant of the product is specifically designed for
welding applications. It includes a weld visor that can be easily
removed when only grinding is required. The Z-Link+ weld visor
weighs only 13.8oz (390g) and attaches directly onto the main
visor. It features a large welding auto darkening filter with a
1/1/1/2 rating and a variable auto darkening lens with shades 3, 5,
or 9-13. The impact and ADF lenses are replaceable for ease of
maintenance.
The Heat Defence feature of the Multi-purpose Respiratory
Protection includes a gold coated visor that reflects radiant heat,
minimizing heat transfer for increased comfort while ensuring eye
protection. The visor options include anti-scratch gold coated,
anti-scratch IR5 gold coated, and IR5. The product also offers
shade 5 protection for torching or other applications where flip up
shade 5 protection is needed.
The Multi-purpose Respiratory Protection integrates hard hat
protection and is manufactured from flame-resistant aluminized
fabric that protects the skin from sparks, splashes, and radiant
heat. The product includes a clip-on visor that requires no tools
for easy detachment and replacement. The cape is secured to ensure
the hood moves with the user for a greater range of movement. An
aluminized breathing tube cover is available to increase the life
of the breathing tube.
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that the Multi-purpose Respiratory Protection is
properly fitted and adjusted for a comfortable and secure fit. - For communication with team members outside of respiratory
hazards, open the visor hinges. - To adjust the air flow and distribution, use the air deflector
system according to personal preference. - For welding applications, attach the Z-Link+ weld visor onto
the main visor. The weld visor can be easily removed when only
grinding is required. - When using the weld visor, check welds by lifting up the visor.
For grinding, remove the visor at the hinge points. - When using the shade 5 visor, attach it to the Z-Link in the
same way as the heat reflection visor. - To raise or lower the visor, use the large visor lift tab. This
can be done even while wearing gloves. - To disperse air flow and aid in cooling, ensure that it is
distributed throughout the breathe zone, as well as over the head,
neck, and body. - For added protection, use the integrated hard hat and ensure
that the aluminized fabric covers the shoulder cape, top, rear, and
breathing tube. - To replace the visor or detach it for cleaning or maintenance,
simply clip it on or off without the need for tools. - For extended use, consider using the aluminized breathing tube
cover to increase the life of the breathing tube.

Z-Link+® Respirator

The Z-Link+® has been designed to give you all the freedom and comfort that you receive with the Z-Link but extends the respirator’s capabilities, giving you eye protection so you can weld without the need for additional systems.
The Z-Link+ weld visor clips on directly to your main visor so you can seamlessly weld with optically clear vision, then lift up the visor to check welds and instantly begin grinding again. With the large GVS-RPB® ADF lens with a 1/1/1/2 optical quality rating, this guarantees uniform shading and distortion free vision, while allowing you to work safely and more comfortably for longer across different angles.

The Radiant Heat kit transforms your Z-Link® respirator into a complete protective system for high heat environments. Utilizing the Z-Link headtop, experience unrivaled comfort as heat is deflected away from you and air continuously circulates throughout the headtop, so you can work safer for longer. The Radiant Heat kit features a large, gold coated visor that reflects heat off you, keeping your body temperature down, while allowing you to see all of your environment with an uncompromised field of view. With flame resistant and reflective materials this protects you from sparks and splashes while providing additional relief from the heat. Enhance your experience of safety and productivity in high heat environments by using protection that revolutionizes the way you work, with the Z-Link Radiant Heat. The Z-Link Radiant Heat is certified to the standards below:
Gold coated visor reflects radiant heat, minimizing heat transfer for increased comfort while ensuring eye protection. Visor options include anti-scratch gold coated (pictured), antiscratch IR5 gold coated, and IR5.
Large visor lift tab enables users to easily raise and lower the visor while wearing gloves.
Shade 5 Protection The shade 5 visor is great for torching or other applications where flip up shade 5 protection is needed and attaches to the Z-Link the same as the heat reflection visor.

Integrated hard hat protection. The Aluminized fabric is flame resistant

3. Make sure you have a complete system. Verify that you have or are purchasing all required components. System requirements are available from GVS-RPB® or in product instruction manuals.
