The Openpath Standard Smart Reader v2 is a cutting-edge access
control device designed for the modern workplace. It combines
industry-leading security with an elegant design that complements
any door and office environment. The Smart Reader v2 is a
multi-technology reader that supports both low frequency (125 kHz)
and high frequency (13.56 MHz) cards.

The standard reader can be flush-mounted inside a single gang
box, providing a slim profile. It can also be surface-mounted on
the wall with or without a casing and snap cover exposed.

Product Usage Instructions:

To install the Openpath Standard Smart Reader v2, follow these
steps:

Choose the desired mounting option: flush mount in a gang box,
surface mount on the wall, or surface mount with casing and snap
cover exposed.
Connect the reader to the primary controller using the provided
pigtail connections. Match the corresponding colors: Gray to GND,
Blue to RS485-B, Violet to RS485-A, and Orange to +12V IN.
If connecting to an auxiliary Wiegand reader, use the following
connections: Red to Wiegand Voltage, Black to Wiegand RTN, Green to
Wiegand Data 0, White to Wiegand Data 1, Brown to Wiegand LED, and
Yellow to Wiegand Buzzer.
Ensure that the Smart Reader v2 is within range of the desired
cards or smartphone devices for access.
For card compatibility, the reader supports ISO 14443A, Prox
CE, FCC, UL 294, and UKCA standards.
The reader also offers additional features such as Openpath
Bluetooth, NFC Wave to Unlock/Touch, Auto Proximity Unlock with
Openpath Prox Cards/Fobs, and cloud management via Openpath
Access.
The Smart Reader v2 is available in standard black and white
colors.
It has a power rating of IP65, ensuring durability and
protection against dust and water.
