Cutting height adjustment:
The clippers have a 4-stage, cutting height adjustment via a slide switch (fig. 3). You can select between 1.0 mm, 1.3 mm, 1.6 mm and 1.9 mm.

Using the comb accessory:
Make sure that the clipper is switched off when installing and removing the comb. Four combs are available (3, 6, 9, 12 mm) for different cutting lengths. Place the comb onto the clipping head, making sure that it engages on the side (fig. 4).

Clean and oil the device on a regular basis to ensure the problem-free function and full functional

Cleaning the clipping head:
The clipping head should be thoroughly cleaned once a day with regular use. Switch the device off. Disconnect the device from the power supply. Remove the comb attachment and press in the centre of the shearing blades to remove them (fig. 5). Remove the hair with the cleaning brush.
Place the clipping head back onto the clippers as shown in fig. 6. Make sure that the maximum cutting height (1.9 mm) is set and that the locking mechanism is positioned properly and press the cutter head onto the device until it engages.

Oiling the clipping head:
The clipping head must be oiled to ensure the good cutting results of the clipping head for as long as possible (during operation every 15 min. and when stored, preferably on a daily basis). Remove the comb attachment. Use the brush to clean the cutting edge, removing the hair between the blades. Oil the locations where the upper and lower part of the clipping head touch. The device must be oiled immediately when the shearing performance diminishes noticeably or the temperature of the clipping head seems too high. The clipping head should be oiled once per day when the clippers are not in use.

Replacing the clipping head:
The clipping head is a wear part. Despite good care, the cutting performance will diminish. At this point, the clipping head should be replaced. The clipping head can be ordered individually as a spare part (ref. no. 18465). When replacing the clipping head, you can remove the residue hair within the clippers using the brush. Press in the centre of the shearing blades to remove them (fig. 5). Place the new clipping head back onto the clippers as shown in fig. 6. Make sure that the maximum cutting height (1.9 mm) is set and that the locking mechanism is positioned properly and press the cutter head onto the device until it engages.

Cleaning the device:
Wipe off your device occasionally using a moist cloth, then rub it dry.
