Tigo Ts4-a-o Module-level Optimization Instruction Manual

TS4-A-O Module-level Optimization

Product Information

The TS4-A-O is an advanced add-on solution that brings smart
module functionality to standard PV modules. It offers
optimization, rapid shutdown, and module-level monitoring features
for maximum power of 700W, maximum voltage of 80VDC, and maximum
current of 15ADC. The product is equipped with a QR code that
enables monitoring and safety features through system mapping. It
has a maximum system voltage of 1000V / 1500V and requires
ANSI/NFPA 70 wiring methods. The product has Class II double
insulation and should not be installed in readily accessible
locations. The connectors from different manufacturers cannot be
mated with each other. The Tigo Access Point (TAP) is a PVRSE
device that provides a keep-alive signal to the TS4 (attenuator)
device via wireless communications.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. When handling the Tigo TS4-A output cables, use care as
electricity will be supplied to the cables immediately when
connected to a PV module exposed to sunlight.
  2. Connect the input cables to the PV module before connecting the
TS4-A output cables in series when installing TS4-A. If
disconnecting TS4-A, disconnect the TS4-A output cables from the
string before disconnecting the input cables from the PV
    module.
  3. For installation with frameless modules, remove metal clips and
    bolt TS4-A to rail.
  4. The Tigo Access Point (TAP) shall be powered from the same
power as the RSI (Rapid Shutdown Initiator) circuit and tied to the
    shutdown of the inverter.
  5. Follow the Photovoltaic Rapid Shutdown Equipment NEC 690.12 and
C22.1-2015 Rule 64-218 guidelines when using the product.
  6. Contact Tigo Energy support at [email protected] or
