Product Usage Instructions:

  1. Before using the Cording Foot, ensure that you have read and
understood both the instruction manual for the accessory and the
instruction manual for your overlocker machine for safety
    purposes.
  2. To sew in a cord:
    • Select the 2- or 3-thread rolled hem on your machine and thread
      it accordingly.
    • Thicker cords can be sewn using a 3-thread narrow seam or a
      3-thread overlock stitch (RN).
    • Set the differential feed to the default setting.
    • Adjust the cutting width to a suitable setting for the desired
      stitch.
    • Raise the presser foot and swing it out.
    • Place the cord in the guides on the presser foot, ensuring an
extra length of about 10 cm is left behind the presser foot.
    • Swing the presser foot back in.
    • Ensure that the cord can glide smoothly through the guides
without any resistance. Test by pulling the cord back and
      forth.
    • To secure the cord, lower the presser foot and sew a few
      stitches.
    • Place the fabric under the presser foot, positioning it so that
the extra seam allowance will be cut.
    • Sew the cord onto the fabric.
  3. Tips:
    • For an even fabric feed, adjust the differential feed as
      needed.
    • To achieve a waved seam in the diagonal grain of stretch
fabric, slightly stretch the fabric in front and behind the presser
foot. Avoid interfering with the feed while the needle stitches
into the fabric to maintain even stitch formation. For additional
waving effect, leave extra cord at the seam end and stretch the
seam until the desired effect is achieved.
