Thank you for purchasing the Fostex product. We hope you will read through this manual so that you can correctly use it. The T-RP series headphones feature a “RP Diaphragm” employing copper foil etched poly imide film to provide resistance to high level input peaks of up to 3000mW and a neodymium magnet for excellent transient characteristics. The T-RP series are designed for studio applications. It can be widely used from a personal studio to professional workshops. A detachable type headphone cord is connected to the left side housing making it difficult to tangle and easy to use and replace. Low rebound high-grade ear pads are used for increased comfort during extended use. As you wish to choose depending on the intended use, we offer 3 models with different shielding properties, i.e., open type (T20RPmk3), closed type (T40RPmk3) and semi-open type (T50RPmk3).

  • * Design and specifications are subject to change without notice.
  • * Avoid an extended use at high volume levels as your hearing may be permanently impaired. You are advised never to use headphones in such situations as driving vehicle and cycling as your ability to react to emergencies will be considerably reduced.
  • * On rare occasions, noise may occur when the headphone plug is connected and turned 90 degrees to lock it. Unless noise is heard with the plug in the locked position, it is not a problem. However, if noise or uneven reproduction volume occurs, there is a possibility that the headphone plug has become dirty. In such a case, wipe the plug with a dry cloth.

FAQ’s

  • Are these headphones suitable for video calling?
    YES
  • Can you use these headphones for Zoom calls?
Yes, these can easily be used for the zoom calls and meetings.
  • How do dome type drivers work?
Dome structures directly emit sound. This sort of driver has the benefit of having excellent directionality. It is frequently used for replication of mid- and high-frequency sounds.
  • Which bass driver is the best?
These are respectable driver units that are conveniently accessible and generate quality audio, particularly bass. They are fairly widespread, and the majority of headphones include them. A voice coil, a diaphragm, and a magnet are the three primary parts of a dynamic driver.
  • Does a larger driver imply improved bass?
Size of Driver Effect on Audio Quality Simply said, better bass is produced with bigger drivers.
  • Do 50mm drivers work well?
The design of the specific headphones will determine the ideal driver size. Headphone drivers normally range in diameter from 20mm to 50mm, whilst earphone drivers are typically 8mm to 15mm. Although a bigger driver creates louder sound waves (especially in the bass and sub-bass), this does not always imply that they sound better.
  • Does a larger driver imply better audio?
Driver Diameter – The size of the diaphragm of a headphone greatly affects the sound quality; the greater the driver diameter, the better the sound quality typically is. The majority of earbud drivers have a diameter of 13.5–15.4 mm, whereas canal phone drivers have a diameter of 8.8–12.5 mm.
  • Better speaker drivers are they bigger?
Large speakers provide less strained audio. Large speakers actually offer complete sound, whilst small speakers only give the impression of it. The audio has a rich, organic, and genuine sound. Hearing music with loud speakers also improves the sound quality.
  • A 50mm driver is what?
A headphone driver unit has a 20mm to 50mm diameter. The size determines how loud the headphones are. But a common assumption is that larger headphone drivers always result in higher-quality audio.
  • Neodymium motors are they good?
The component that transforms electrical signals into sound in neodymium driver earphones is the driver, which is a neodymium magnet. It offers a decent bass response and better audio quality overall.
  • A planar driver is what?
A planar magnetic driver or transducer works differently from dynamic drivers because it employs a flat membrane instead of the traditional cone- or dome-shaped membrane that you may find in normal loudspeakers. This membrane is the component that transforms the electrical signal to sound waves.
