TR4-X Pit Lid Mount

The NextCentury Outdoor Transceiver (TR4-X) can be secured below a meter pit lid using the Pit Lid Mount. It is recommended to use the TR4-X with plastic or  composite-plastic pit lids. Use of TR4-X under a cast-iron or metal lid will greatly reduce wireless range and is not recommended.

1. Remove Lid Cutout
   Remove the round mounting cutout from the meter pit lid, exposing the lid’s mounting hole. The TR4-X Pit Lid Mount is compatible with hole sigzes from 43mm to 54mm.
2. Attach the TR4-X
   Insert the Pit Lid Mount and secure it to the lid using the provided mount nut. Then secure the TR4-X to the Pit Lid Mount utilizing the built-in threaded fastener.
3. Connect Cables
   Splice the wiring of the TR4-X and the water meter using the NextCentury waterproof Field Splice Kit. See TR4-X wiring guide for proper wire connections.
