- Do not allow kettle to boil dry.
- To avoid circuit overload, do not operate another high-wattage appliance on the same circuit.
- Scalding may occur if the lid is opened during the boiling cycle.

WARNING! Shock Hazard: This product is provided with either a polarized (one wide blade) or grounded (3-prong) plug to reduce the risk of electric shock.
The plug fits only one way into a polarized or grounded outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the plug by modifying the plug in any way or by using an adapter. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, have an electrician replace the outlet.
The length of the cord used on this appliance was selected to reduce the hazards of becoming tangled in or tripping over a longer cord. If a longer cord is necessary, an approved extension cord may be used. The electrical rating of the extension cord must be equal to or greater than the rating of the appliance. If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type, 3-wire cord. Care must
be taken to arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidentally tripped over.

HOW TO USE THE KETTLE
CAUTION Burn Hazard: Do not overfill kettle. Boiling water may spit out of the spout.
BEFORE FIRST USE: Fill kettle with water to MAX fill line on the water level window. Push power switch to turn the kettle ON (I) and bring water to a boil. Shut off and discard water. Repeat 2–3 times, rinsing out kettle each time. The kettle is now ready for use.
- Fill kettle with required amount of water. Ensure that water level is between MIN and MAX on the water level window.
- Make sure that the lid is closed and the power base is on a level surface.
- Plug into outlet and turn ON (I).
- When water has boiled, turn the kettle OFF (O). NOTE: The surface of the kettle gets hot; take care—only grip the kettle by the handle.
- After use, unplug kettle and empty any remaining water.
NOTE: Only use kettle to heat water. If kettle is used to heat other liquids, such as coffee or tea, the warranty will be voided.
If Kettle Boils Dry: If your kettle is accidentally switched on without being filled with water, or is allowed to boil dry, the kettle will cycle continuously, switching off, cooling down, and switching back on. You should:
- Turn the switch to OFF (O), unplug, and wait about 15 minutes for the element to cool down.
- Refill the kettle; then use as normal and check that the kettle functions correctly.
If Kettle Does Not Work: Make these simple checks before calling the toll-free customer assistance number:
- Have you turned power switch to ON (I) position?
- If the kettle heats but does not boil, it might need descaling. (See Care and cleaning below.)
- Has the kettle been accidentally switched on without being filled with water or allowed to boil dry? Turn the switch to OFF (O), wait 15 minutes, and try again.
- Is cord firmly plugged into the outlet?
CARE AND CLEANING
WARNING Electric Shock Hazard: Do not immerse kettle or plug in water or any other liquid.
- With kettle unplugged, empty any remaining water and rinse. Allow kettle to cool. To avoid scale/lime deposit buildup, empty kettle after each use.
- To remove discoloration of scale/lime deposit from heating element: Place 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar (available in the spice aisle of grocery store) into the kettle. Then fill the kettle 1/2 full with water. Plug in, turn ON (I), and bring to boil. Turn OFF (O), let cool, and rinse several times with clean tap water.
- Wipe the exterior of kettle with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or powders since they may scratch the smooth surface of the kettle.
LIMITED WARRANTY
This warranty applies to products purchased in the U.S. and Canada. This is the only express warranty for this product and is in lieu of any other warranty or condition.
This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. During this period, your exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of this product or any component found to be defective, at our option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to us and our returning a product or component under this warranty to you. If the product or component is no longer available, we will replace with a similar one of equal or greater value.
This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use not in conformity with the printed directions, or damage to the product resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse. This warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser or gift recipient. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase is required to make a warranty claim. This warranty is void if the product is used for other than single-family household use or subjected to any voltage and waveform other than as specified on the rating label (e.g., 120V ~ 60 Hz).
We exclude all claims for special, incidental, and consequential damages caused by breach of express or implied warranty. All liability is limited to the amount of the purchase price. Every implied warranty, including any statutory warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, is disclaimed except to the extent prohibited by law, in which case such warranty or condition is limited to the duration of this written warranty. Frequently Asked Questions
The power cord is only on the base. The kettle is deemed cordless because it is detached from the base. When you think about it, really useful. No limitations on movement.

The electrical components in both the base and the kettle could be damaged, and neither is dishwasher-safe. Clean the exterior of the kettle and base with a wet sponge or towel (dampened with water or an all-purpose cleaner), and then allow it to air dry.
Clean both the inside and outside of the machine thoroughly with a wet towel. Before using your kettle for the first time, it is suggested that you clean it by boiling a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the water.
Depending on how much water is inside, an electric kettle may boil a pot of water in two to four minutes. Be sure to just add as much water as is required to get the water to boil. If there is more water present, the heating process may take longer.
It is permissible to keep it plugged into the outlet. When the water reaches boiling point, it stops. Not at all a hot pot. It will cool down, just like your cup of wine.
Through a conduit inside the kettle, which is often inside the handle, steam from the top of the boiling interior is delivered to the thermostat, which is typically located towards the base. As soon as boiling starts, the temperature swiftly increases from the surrounding ambient temperature to almost 100°C. As a result, the disc breaks, turning off the power.
Although it often just takes a few minutes, the length of time it takes to boil depends on how much water you use. Depending on how much water is in it and how cold the outer room is, it will usually take 20 to 30 minutes for the water to cool down.
